Mix is a HUD based monthly event that starts on the 1st of each month and features up to 100 of SL’s best brands. Each month designers are to put out items in their mainstores which fall into one of the following categories, “New, Sale or Exclusive.” I think this is a wonderful idea as shoppers won’t have to deal with major lag trying to get into one location and it also gives us an opportunity to check out the mainstores of creators involved in this event, something that doesn’t happen very often these days. The brains behind this brilliant event is none other than Octagons Yazimoto, who is co-owner of The Arcade and Collabor88.
The purpose of the HUD for this event is to get you to your desired destination and let you know which brands are offering sales, exclusives or new releases. You do not need the HUD to actually shop this event. The HUD can be picked up from The Mix Update Group, it is sent out on the 1st and 15th of each month. It can also be picked up FREE from the Mix marketplace store.
If you’re looking for more details about this event, you can check out their User Guide or their FAQ page. If you are a designer interested in participating in this event, they also have a Designer Application on their site.
I’m wearing the Summer LookBook from Maxi Gossamer that will be available for this event starting July 1st. Maxi’s LookBook consists of a selection of some of her summer favorites. The Lookbook will be heavily discounted for the month. You can take the SLurl to the Maxi Gossamer mainstore starting July 1st and look for the Mix Sign to find the discounted Summer LookBook collection.

About a year and a half ago I created an account on Ask.fm and put it on my blog and some of my social media asking people to send me any questions they wanted to ask me. Since this kind of thing is anonymous, you can imagine some of the questions I’ve received so far. […] Continue reading →
(click here for a raw shot) Are you a skybox hermit? I can be at times, but I also like exploring the grid. I like scouting locations for shoots or just exploring the creativity of Second Life content creators. However, I can also be quite anti-social and just want to keep to myself, dress up […] Continue reading →
My last two posts have revolved around mesh bodies: The Introduction to Mesh Bodies article and then the tutorial about the AutoHide feature in the Maitreya Mesh Body. I thought this would be a good time to pose a bunch of questions to you guys which have been on my mind. I’m sure you guys […] Continue reading →
Maitreya AutoHide BodyFaces allows creators to place a script in their mesh clothing, that hides the parts of the body that need to be hidden for that item. When the mesh clothing item gets attached, it will automatically hide the sections that were programmed in the script to hide. This makes it easier for us […] Continue reading →
Please Note: All of the images in this post are raw shots and have not been enhanced in Photoshop. Back in March, Saffia Widdershins, Editor of Prim Perfect magazine, asked me to write a general introductory article about mesh bodies. Most of my blog readers already know all about mesh bodies and probably already own a […] Continue reading →

To celebrate Second Life’s 12th birthday Linden Lab has introduced a video share project called “What Second Life Means to Me” in which they have asked some Second Life residents, as well as some Lindens themselves, what Second Life means to them. I was very happy and nervous when I was asked to be a part of […] Continue reading →
Recently a very talented young lady painted a portrait of my avatar and I had to share it with you guys. It’s beautiful and was based on the image I did of myself last year, pictured below. Her name is Miriam Lemondrop and she does paintings of Avatars for only L$800, which I think is […] Continue reading →
Dum maaro dum literally translates into ‘take another hit’ and it was the name of a very famous bollywood song in the 1970s, then reworked in 2011. I thought the song fit well with the theme of Zaara’s Arcade items this month. This month for the Arcade Zaara is inviting you all to escape to […] Continue reading →
So it may not be morning or even a Sunday when you are reading this post, but this is what I imagine to be a very relaxing Sunday morning. The Lazy Sunday Morning set from Erratic at the Arcade this round has some of my most favorite pieces in a gacha ever. First is this […] Continue reading →

(click here for a raw shot) I’ve realized that in the past few weeks I’ve been wearing the LeLutka mesh heads more often than my own classic avatar face. I never thought it would happen where I would start to prefer a mesh head. I think just the quality and being able to play around […] Continue reading →
It’s Berry’s 8th rezday today and I’m starting to feel quite old. When I first found Second Life, I was in my mid-twenties; quite immature, naive and still discovering myself. After 8 years, I still feel immature and naive and that I have lots more to discover. But I also feel like I have grown. […] Continue reading →
