Up for Another Snowball Fight?

Up for Another Snowball Fight?

I have been so super stressed this month that I really want another opportunity to throw some snowballs around and have some fun in Second Life. Winter Wonderland will probably be gone soon, so if you’re up for it, I’ll be there later tonight around 6pm PT. If I can figure out how to live stream to my youtube channel again, I may do that as well and will be using my Resident account, Strawberry Singh. I hadn’t logged into her for a while and it was so much fun dressing her up again after so long.

The other day I tweeted an Oprah quote that I often repeat to myself.

I really do feel like a lot of events that happen to me, are often my own doing, either negative or positive. Of course, with life, there is that bit of chance with things that are out of our control, but are they really? Did something happen because of my energy?

Even the current job I have, did I manifest it with positive energy? It’s my dream job and It’s something that I feel really happy doing. There are days where there is so much excitement with what I do that it stresses me out to the point where I have even had physical reactions 15 minutes before I had to go live on Lab Gab. It’s incredibly fulfilling, and I want to continue with that positive energy and continue to manifest more amazing things. I just need to keep reminding myself to do that though, that’s the hard part.

The pandemic has affected many of our lives in the physical world, but online there are now even more people interacting on Social Media and other “metaverse” platforms that it sometimes can be so overwhelming. Being a Social Media Manager, I see so much negative energy coming through from people’s words online, it really starts to affect you. I hope people also remember that there are human beings behind these screens and how you treat them can also affect how you feel about yourself.

As far as the pandemic goes, I think I’ve grown to accept that it’s here for a while and I just have to figure out how to continue to live this new way of life. We’re definitely changed forever as a society and I’m hoping people find a way to just understand that and do what they need to do to protect themselves and others.

Anyhow, I’m rambling and I’m all over the place. Not sure what I was even trying to say, but I honestly just felt like talking to you guys again. It’s been a while. I hope you are having a great 2022 so far. I’m looking forward to all that’s in store this year. Happy new year everyone!

Just an update since a few people have asked me, the slurl to Winter Wonderland is this: https://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Winter%20Wonderland%205/113/7/31

  • Aww, yesterday, missed it!
Yes to everything you said about pandemic, life, etc.
I totally feel you on the throwing snowballs. Of all the things I’ve done in SL over the years, there’s nothing I love more than the “Frog Gun”. It was made by Zoey (Zoey Helgerud) IDK when.

Drax and others talk about the Placefulness of SL and that being “a place” and not just a “communications wire” is why we love SL and burnout on Zoom. I think that’s true. But, much as I totally love events like Lab Gab and Book Club and applaud y’all for them!!! Sitting and talking, while valuable, is a lot like Zoom. I think it’s the Snowball throwing & Frog Guns that are so very placeful!

When I’m having a Frog Fight with friends I am truly laughing, smiling, and having a wonderful time. Some activities in SL, like playing basketball or scuba diving, are so pale vs the physical world that I don’t get much out of them. But a good Frog Fight is as embodied as as anything I’ve done in any virtual or physical world.

Hope you had a good frog fight yesterday, Berry. Now I have to go throw some frogs at friends!!
