In the January 2012 issue of Avenue Magazine I popped up in a few places so I just wanted to briefly talk about all that and link you guys to it.
I’ve been wanting to blog the first picture in this post for a while now. So when I saw it in this month’s Avenue Magazine, I thought this would be the perfect opportunity to. Back in December Lexie Jansma, owner of Siren Productions, requested I dress up my female avatar using only mens clothing items for a promotional shot for Menswear Fashion week. I was totally excited to be posing amongst all the handsome men. Click the picture to see all those that are posing with me.
Siren Productions’ Menswear Fashion Week 2012 is coming this March 23rd to 31st in association with KMADD, Avenue, and Menstuff. MWFW is approaching it’s 3rd year starting out with 50 designers and 1 sim and still continues to grow! If you have further questions, want to participate in the event as a designer/media partner/sponsor/performer, or have comments please feel free to contact Lexie Jansma or Garrett Ceriano by IM or notecard inworld.
Keep an eye on the Siren Productions blog and flickr for future updates.

Also this month one of my favorite vampires is the Model of the Month, oh yes, none other than Winter Jefferson himself. I was tickled to read his interview, he always manages to entertain me and also happy to see he mentioned my comments about him in his fabulous interview. Make sure to check it out!

Finally, I also did my vignettes column this month. This will be my last time doing the vignettes column. I wanted to take this opportunity to thank the Avenue Magazine team for having me on board with this wonderful project for a year and giving me a chance to be a part of their stylish publication. I will miss it dearly.
My real life has become quite hectic and will be more in the foreseeable future. I’ll still be around blogging on and off as often as possible though so don’t worry, you guys aren’t rid of me yet! :P
Thanks for reading! <3

(Photographer: Elysium Eilde, Models: me and some random dude)
So I have to admit, I am really excited about the upcoming Festival of Sin event which will be a celebration of the 7 Deadly Sins. The naughty side of me cannot wait to see it all. That’s why I was really excited when the event organizer and owner of Exposeur, RubyStarlight Writer, asked me and the random dude to pose for the Sloth and Gluttony shot. She basically told us to be a filthy, trailer trashy couple, we did well, no? :P I also kinda love the little pizza & biryani gut Mr. Gluttony has going on there.
The event will run from February 18th till March 3rd, which is still a while a way but I thought I would throw some questions to Ruby so y’all can get some more information about it and we get an idea of what we have to look forward to.
Strawberry Singh: Who are the organizers behind this brilliant event?
RubyStarlight Writer: Organizational duties rest on my dainty shoulders. However, I’d really have nothing spectacular without Annette Voight doing a lot of building and custom textures for the SIM and Elysium Eilde doing the logo, ad, and all the promotional photography. It’s a group thang. No, wait… not *that* kind of group thang…
Strawberry Singh: How did you guys come up with the theme?
RubyStarlight Writer: The theme is something I’ve had in my head for awhile… you know, being an unapologetic sinner and all. And I have this weird OCD habit about categorizing things. I’m such a perpetual planner that I break everything down into little bits and parts and so I’m kind of obsessive about something like the 7 Deadly Sins or the 4 Seasons or movie genres… or ranking my friends from most awesome to least awesome… it’s really actually pretty out of control… I should get some help.
Strawberry Singh: Are the designers required to make exclusive items just for this event?
RubyStarlight Writer: The items won’t be permanently exclusive, so I guess by definition, no. Each creator is required to make at least one item for the event, inspired by their assigned theme (one of the 7 Deadly Sins), and release it at the festival. Once the event is over though, the designer may choose to place it for sale in their store.
Strawberry Singh: What are you most looking forward to?
RubyStarlight Writer: I’m most looking forward to people EXPERIENCING the event. It’s not just about the shopping. I’m working on placing a lot of hidden features, alleyways, rooms and interactive experiences for people to explore and discover. The first week of an event is a fight to get in and shop, but I hope people will come around the second week as well to explore, take photos, and just have fun.
Strawberry Singh: Will this event be an ongoing thing we can look forward to each year?
RubyStarlight Writer: I think so. I’m having A LOT of fun planning and building and scheming. I can’t make any promises because I really can’t possibly know where I’ll be or what I’ll be doing this time next year, but I do have a vague outline for 2 more elaborate events like this one this year as well, so I think it’s likely. I’ve decided to actually put together an “official” event production company again to do the ones I’ve got planned, which I’ll make official once this festival is over. I almost wanna tell you what the next event is… but… nah.
Strawberry Singh: Do you have any requests from those that will be attending the event?
RubyStarlight Writer: Two things:
- Don’t come if you have sensitivities to blood, violence, sex, drugs, and other general debauchery. I am not holding back at all with the design of this sim, and yes, some people may get offended if they can’t handle the rough stuff. It will be an Adult sim, and I am not afraid to show it. Consider it NC-17.
- We’ve got about a billion textures and scripts and everything else, so we’re limiting access to only 40 people at a time. Maybe less… we’ll have to see. I expect complaints about that, but having something unique and interesting was far more important to me than having something boring but highly functional, so there is a need to keep the number of people on the sim down a bit. There will be two whole weeks to get in and get the items that excite you, so if people can be patient, they will manage to get in and move around just fine.
And there you have it! I am SO looking forward to this event, don’t forget to mark your calendars!

For the September 2011 issue of Avenue Magazine I thought I would cover some of my favorite accessories for the vignettes column. There are so many content creators whose accessories and jewels I absolutely adore, it was hard to pick just a few. But I hope you enjoy them as much as I do. You’ll find all my style credits from pages 48 to 55.

This is just in time for the last day of the 2011 Jewelry Fair. You’ll find all of your favorite jewelers under one roof so don’t delay and take the slurls now before it all ends.

I also wanted to take a moment to thank everyone who wished me a happy birthday, sent me amazing presents inworld and played with my pixels. I was blown away by all the amazing pictures you guys did of me, I wish I could steal your talent! You guys should really check out the pileups, you’ll find a lot of them in the links below:
Thank you so much everyone, you guys really made my birthday awesome! <3

Will you pile me up for my birthday?
September 22nd is my birthday. I’m planning to spend the day with my family and friends, eating lots of cake and celebrating life, love and happiness.
Will you pile me up for my birthday?
Last year for my birthday I had asked you guys to pile up my picture. That was a lot of fun so I thought I might try it again. You can use either of these images and if you click on them it will take you to my flickr where you can download the original size. Check out the pile-up group on flickr while you’re at it!

It’s way past my bedtime now and I’m too old not to get all of my beauty sleep. Gonna head to bed so I am fully rested to eat all my cake tomorrow! Goodnight and thank you for all the love and support! <3
