I feel like I really failed at this week’s SL DisneyBound challenge because I had all these ideas and I was going to use ManBerry and was going to dress him up as Aladdin, etc… but I’m currently going through a number of projects at the moment that I just haven’t had time. In fact, I am squeezing this quick picture in because well, I really really really wanna do this challenge.

This picture kind of represents my life right now. I feel like I’ve gone through (and still going through) a lot of changes and I’m seeing the world a bit differently. To make this post sound even cheesier, it’s like “a whole new world” to me and lately my life has been nothing short of magical.

Tomorrow is my 6th rezday and I’ve been planning a special post for it for about a month now, but it’s not exactly turning out how I planned it in my head. I’m going to try and squeeze time in today and see what I end up with for tomorrow. It’s been quite a journey and I feel like I’ve learned and grown a lot.

Anyhow, this week’s SL DisneyBound challenge, if you haven’t guessed it by now was Jasmine and Aladdin. I gave my Jasmine a bit of an indian twist with the henna tats cuz they were so pretty. You can check out the SL Disneybound flickr group to see everyone’s gorgeous entries in this challenge.

The talented Natalee Oodles of Style Minions has been holding an ongoing blogger challenge for about 6 weeks now called Disneybound. You can learn more about the challenge from her first initial post introducing it. Every week I have been watching in awe as so many have been styling themselves up resembling Disney characters. I have been aching to participate but I haven’t had the time. But this week is Merida of Brave and I absolutely could not resist.

Merida is one of my most favorite Disney characters. Unlike the other Disney Princesses that usually need a man to “save the day;” Merida is a fiery, independent and brave girl who can take care of herself! I absolutely adored this movie and the relationship between the mother and daughter was especially touching.

I’m so happy I got the opportunity to participate in Natalee’s challenge this week. I am going to try and join in whenever I can. If you’d like to join, check out her Disneybound tag to see all of the ones she’s done so far and you can also join the flickr group.

I decided to take my images at the beautiful Straylight sim. It had been a while since I had visited there. It’s definitely one of my most favorite places on the grid.

Whenever I participate in a challenge that is run by another blogger, I put that post in my challenges category. Due to lack of time, I don’t get the opportunity to do them often. Hopefully I’ll be able to make time to participate in more. I really had a lot of fun with this one! Hope you guys participate as well. I’d love to see more Meridas!

I’ve been meaning to participate in the Single Frame Stories challenge for a while, but I guess I felt a bit intimidated. My pictures aren’t usually planned, they just kind of happen, so the thought of actually planning for an idea was a bit daunting. However, it was a good opportunity to push myself and so I did.

The idea behind this weekly challenge is to create a single image with up to 140 optional characters of text based on the prompt of the week. This week’s prompt was blur and this was my take on it. I hope you guys participate as well. You can learn more about Single Frame Stories on their how to page and also join the flickr group to see what the others are upto and possibly submit your own.

The skin I’m wearing in this post will be available from Tuli at the Skin Fair 2013 starting March 15th. The name of this skin from Tuli is Elyse and it will be available in 3 skin tones, four eyebrow color options and loads of makeups and lip colors. This skin also comes with appliers for Lolas tango mesh breasts as well as a version of appliers that have these adorable tattoos on them. I couldn’t help doing a black white picture after I got this gorgeous set from Epoque. I thought the chrome texture in this was especially fabulous and I’m glad I got the opportunity to blog it. Epoque has a great selection in hair, mesh clothing and also gorgeous statement jewels. If you haven’t checked them out yet, take the slurl now.

I think the Ashes Roza skin from Glam Affair really pairs with it well. This skin is currently available at the Fair even from Chic.

I’m not sure if the Black and White blogger’s challenge is still going on but I think I am going to go ahead and add this image in the group. I love being able to do a black and white image inworld, without using photoshop to desaturate. In fact I didn’t really photoshop this much at all, here’s a raw shot if you’d like to see. (Also a raw shot on my sl profile feed here). A lot of people have asked me to share raw shots more often because they like to see what changes I’ve made, if any. Would you prefer if I also shared raw shots more often? If so, I’ll try and do it whenever I can remember.

Please excuse my title today, it has nothing to do with the book but I thought it fit the theme well. Anyhow, recently I did an ad for a skin designer and I liked how it turned out so I wanted to play with it a bit more and try my hand at the black and white blogger challenge again.

Recently a client asked me to do some black and white shots for her and I was a bit nervous about it since I don’t really do that often. In my last post for the black and white challenge I used actual black and white items so that didn’t really count. This time I thought I’d play with this picture and I dunno if I like the black and white as much. It’s so hard to get all the tones right. I think I might try doing two versions of pictures more often so I get more practice in it. It was kind of a fun challenge.

The skin I’m wearing in these pictures is from the store Anxiety by Alexxandra Sorbet. She just redid her store, but you can see more pictures of her skins on her flickr or take the slurl to her store. Please remember that these pictures are heavily photoshopped so make sure to try on a demo!

Also, I just noticed my butt looks really big and I have no idea why. LOL It’s not REALLY that big (I think)! :P
