(Photographer: Elysium Eilde, Models: me and some random dude)
So I have to admit, I am really excited about the upcoming Festival of Sin event which will be a celebration of the 7 Deadly Sins. The naughty side of me cannot wait to see it all. That’s why I was really excited when the event organizer and owner of Exposeur, RubyStarlight Writer, asked me and the random dude to pose for the Sloth and Gluttony shot. She basically told us to be a filthy, trailer trashy couple, we did well, no? :P I also kinda love the little pizza & biryani gut Mr. Gluttony has going on there.
The event will run from February 18th till March 3rd, which is still a while a way but I thought I would throw some questions to Ruby so y’all can get some more information about it and we get an idea of what we have to look forward to.
Strawberry Singh: Who are the organizers behind this brilliant event?
RubyStarlight Writer: Organizational duties rest on my dainty shoulders. However, I’d really have nothing spectacular without Annette Voight doing a lot of building and custom textures for the SIM and Elysium Eilde doing the logo, ad, and all the promotional photography. It’s a group thang. No, wait… not *that* kind of group thang…
Strawberry Singh: How did you guys come up with the theme?
RubyStarlight Writer: The theme is something I’ve had in my head for awhile… you know, being an unapologetic sinner and all. And I have this weird OCD habit about categorizing things. I’m such a perpetual planner that I break everything down into little bits and parts and so I’m kind of obsessive about something like the 7 Deadly Sins or the 4 Seasons or movie genres… or ranking my friends from most awesome to least awesome… it’s really actually pretty out of control… I should get some help.
Strawberry Singh: Are the designers required to make exclusive items just for this event?
RubyStarlight Writer: The items won’t be permanently exclusive, so I guess by definition, no. Each creator is required to make at least one item for the event, inspired by their assigned theme (one of the 7 Deadly Sins), and release it at the festival. Once the event is over though, the designer may choose to place it for sale in their store.
Strawberry Singh: What are you most looking forward to?
RubyStarlight Writer: I’m most looking forward to people EXPERIENCING the event. It’s not just about the shopping. I’m working on placing a lot of hidden features, alleyways, rooms and interactive experiences for people to explore and discover. The first week of an event is a fight to get in and shop, but I hope people will come around the second week as well to explore, take photos, and just have fun.
Strawberry Singh: Will this event be an ongoing thing we can look forward to each year?
RubyStarlight Writer: I think so. I’m having A LOT of fun planning and building and scheming. I can’t make any promises because I really can’t possibly know where I’ll be or what I’ll be doing this time next year, but I do have a vague outline for 2 more elaborate events like this one this year as well, so I think it’s likely. I’ve decided to actually put together an “official” event production company again to do the ones I’ve got planned, which I’ll make official once this festival is over. I almost wanna tell you what the next event is… but… nah.
Strawberry Singh: Do you have any requests from those that will be attending the event?
RubyStarlight Writer: Two things:
Don’t come if you have sensitivities to blood, violence, sex, drugs, and other general debauchery. I am not holding back at all with the design of this sim, and yes, some people may get offended if they can’t handle the rough stuff. It will be an Adult sim, and I am not afraid to show it. Consider it NC-17.
We’ve got about a billion textures and scripts and everything else, so we’re limiting access to only 40 people at a time. Maybe less… we’ll have to see. I expect complaints about that, but having something unique and interesting was far more important to me than having something boring but highly functional, so there is a need to keep the number of people on the sim down a bit. There will be two whole weeks to get in and get the items that excite you, so if people can be patient, they will manage to get in and move around just fine.
And there you have it! I am SO looking forward to this event, don’t forget to mark your calendars!

Since Kirstens Viewer is no longer available, you guys have been contacting me asking which viewer I’m now using. Therefore I thought I would do a video tutorial of my recent favorite viewer, Exodus Viewer. I’ve been using Exodus consistently since November 10th when I did this plurk about it. I had downloaded it but had some issues getting shadows to run. I found out I wasn’t the only one having this issue. If you read that plurk you’ll see that you just need to disable anti-aliasing and shadows will pop up for you. I’ve gone into a bit more detail about this in the video if you need to see what I mean I am embedding and linking the video below.
One thing I really love about Exodus Viewer is that I can take the biggest snapshot I like (usually 5760×3084) and I will not get any kinds of glitches or weird lines on my image. I have put up a pure raw shot on my flickr here which I’ll also embed a small version of below. As you can see, the image is completely clean and that’s how ALL of my images look whenever I use Exodus Viewer.
Another thing I love about Exodus Viewer is that it actually lets me take pictures without ever crashing using my avatar that is up to about 120K inventory now (I know, I’m bad, shush :P wanna organize it for me? :D)
(Raw shot from SL)
I recently purchased a new video card a few months back so I have updated my computer specifications page with that info. You can take a look to see what kind of computer I have. After getting the new 560ti video card, my crash rate went down significantly. And then after discovering Exodus and using it religiously, I rarely crash, if ever, and usually because I am doing a whole bunch of things at once (such as watching something on netflix, chatting in skype, checking plurk, and shooting massive images in SL, yeah…I know…I’m crazy :P).
The developer of Exodus is having some computer issues so the development has been a bit delayed but hopefully he’ll be back soon adding more updates and features to it. For now, the last version works fantastic for me so hopefully it will be good for you guys too.
So anyhow, I hope you guys like Exodus as much as I do. I have been really happy with it. If you do have any questions, feel free to email me and I’ll do the best I can to help you out.
Today I plan on rambling a little bit (what else is new?) about my reasons for blogging. The reason I blog is because it gives me great pleasure to actually take a picture, play with it in photoshop and have the ability to share it with all of you here with a few words. It gives me a sense of fulfillment and I want to make sure I do it right. I try to be very open and professional about everything I do inworld and on this blog. This includes full disclosure on my photography rates and policies, my advertising rates and policies, my review policy as well as what it is I do and whom I work for inworld, all listed on my about page.
In my Disclosure Policy I’ve stated that I’m not compensated to provide opinion on products, services, websites and various other topics. I also do my best to disclose everything that is given to me and not purchased with my own lindens to abide by the FTC Guidelines listed on my review policy page. When I blog something I do it purely because first: I’ve actually had the time to acquire, try it on, style it and take pictures in it. And second: only because I feel inspired by it, (as I’m sure all fashion bloggers do). However, I do this purely because I eventually have plans to take this blog to another level. It’s already less about fashion and more about my social media presence in which I am hoping to eventually take it to a RL/SL vlog in a few years. Therefore to protect myself, I want to make sure everything I do here is completely transparent and I hope I have been accomplishing that.
All that being said, I’d like to go right into announcing a new partnership I have formed with koinup.com. Koinup is a social network, online community and web portal dedicated to virtual worlds users. It’s a great place to share your photos and videos. The audience will be all virtual world users so, unlike flickr, it’s really targeting users that have the same interests as you. I’ve been sharing my images on koinup for a while now and get a great response and lots of hits to my blog from there. You can check out my koinup profile here.
I’ll be using the koinup places project to take my exploration of SL to another level. So hopefully that will result in a lot more on location shots on my blog in the upcoming months. I hope you take a look at koinup places and explore along with me.
Finally, let’s talk about mesh, shall we? Maitreya has joined the mesh revolution with a bang! This past week three phenomenal mesh items were released. What surprised me the most about all this was, this is was my first time trying on the standard sizing that these items are available in and I turned out to be a small! Totally didn’t expect that especially since my ass seems to have a bad reputation of being on the big side. I swear, I have no idea where that rumor originated from.

Last month talented photographer and designer, Rico Plisskin of Aphotic Gloom, asked me to pose for him wearing some mesh attire. I happily obliged because I love his work and I’m so glad I did. In this month of Too Sexy Magazine you will find me, along with very talented people, in some mesh clothing from pages 70 to 78.
Also in this month’s Too Sexy issue, I was asked to photograph some very beautiful people. Check out the Too Sexy Hair Hotlist from pages 127-144.

I think what I love about Second Life the most is that I can be any skin tone I want to be, change my hair color every minute and go from a tattoo covered girl with lots of piercings to a blushing bride within minutes. The possibilities are endless and the creativity of all the talented content creators on the grid is wonderful.
Today I’m wearing Nina, which is a new skin from Baiastice and will be released tomorrow. Nina comes in 3 tones (dark, peach and porcelaine) and 12 makeups. I am wearing porcelaine. Each makeup comes with 4 different eyebrows (blonde, black, brown and red) as well as 4 different hairbases to match the brows. Other options available for purchase are cleavage, pubic hair, (in different shades), an Alpha Mask to cover up default lashes, 3 different eyebrows base styles, tattoo face freckles and tattoo teeth.
This head-turning gown is from Gizza. It comes in 4 gorgeous colors (Pearl, Black, Champagne and Olive) and I think the Pearl would make a wonderful bridal dress. You’d definitely be making a statement walking in with that on.
