I’m Back with Some Updates – Blogger Secret Santa and more
Hello everyone. I’m back from my hiatus. I’ll be honest, I wasn’t sure if I would be able to return as I have suffered a big loss in my life and I feel like it has really impacted me. It helps that I have a wonderful support system with my husband and other family and friends to help me get through it in the real world. But I’ve realized that keeping myself busy with the hobby that I love, and interacting with the supportive Second Life community will also help me, so here I am.
A lot of you have reached out and asked me how I’m doing and I appreciate that, thank you. I’d like to keep my loss private, but I do appreciate the words of support that you guys have given me the past few weeks. I will do my best to keep up with my blogging as much as I can.
I see that I’ve missed quite a lot in Second Life while I was away, so here are some updates to things I’ve missed and some things coming up for December.
BVN Blogger & Vlogger Secret Santa Swap
The Blogger Vlogger Network (BVN) is holding a Secret Santa geared towards Second Life bloggers. The concept is getting Second Life bloggers to sign up for the Secret Santa by December 5th and then on December 10th the BVN team will send you your Secret Santa recipient’s name. But what’s different and unique about this Secret Santa swap is that you are not exchanging physical gifts, but blog posts about the person. According to the rules BVN has set, you will need to do your blog post about your Second Life Blogger Secret Santa recipient by December 25th.
I had the idea to do this concept as one of my Monday Memes but I realized it would work better as a Secret Santa and so I passed it along to the BVN team to run it. I figured they would have more reach and do a better job at it. I am definitely going to sign up and participate. They have given the option to collaborate with your Secret Santa recipient or do a blog post about them. Due to lack of time, I will be doing a blog post about my recipient as collaborating is always difficult for me.
I encourage all of you to sign up as well if you are a Second Life blogger. It will be wonderful to see Second Life bloggers promoting one another and getting to know each other this way. Keep an eye out for my Secret Santa blog post some time after December 10th.
Vista Animations Lia Bento Head
While I was away, Vista Animations entered the mesh head market. They released their first female bento head last week, which I am wearing in this post. I will do a full detailed blog post and video about it very soon. For now you can check out the following links for more information:

Subscription Boxes
I wasn’t able to unbox two of my favorite Second Life subscription boxes this month: Luxe Box and Powder Pack Catwa. I will do my best to unbox them next month. The next box I would have unboxed would have been Powder Pack LeLutka on December 1st, but they are skipping this month to rework their schedule and it should be back in the new year.
Atlas-Hopping in Sansar
I have missed the past three episodes of Atlas-Hopping in Sansar, however Draxtor Despres has been doing a wonderful job of continuing the episodes on his own. I have added his episodes to my Atlas Hopping youtube playlist so you can view them all at that link. I hope to be in the next episode alongside Draxtor this coming Saturday at 11am PST.
#SecondLifeChallenge Posts
I have missed the past few #SecondLifeChallenge posts as well and to be honest, because of my circumstances, I am not sure I will be able to do them on a timely basis as I had previously planned. I will do my best to do them when I can each Monday, but forgive me if I miss it sometimes.
Second Life on Reddit
You may not be aware but there is a subreddit on reddit called Second Life. I often share my posts there, but to be honest, most of the people on reddit don’t like the blog spam there so I don’t share as often as I’d like; I do like to read it though. One of the moderators of the subreddit has suggested starting a weekly AmA (Ask me Anything) featuring different Second Life residents. I think it’s a wonderful idea and even though someone did mention my name, I think content creators, event coordinators and other creative residents would be more interesting to ask questions to. I’d love to see more people become active there and participate in these AmAs. So if you don’t have an sl reddit account, create one today and participate if you can.
These are all the updates I have so far. Please note that I have received many emails in the past few weeks that I have not had the chance to respond to as of yet. I apologize about that. Thank you so much for reaching out to me. I hope to respond to all of you very soon.

There are no words I can say that will bring you comfort but I know that this wound you carry in your heart will not always feel as raw as it does right now. I’m glad that you are blessed with a loving circle of support. It’s so important during hard times. Take care of you and your family.
My dear Berry, thanks for the updates. I am so sorry for your loss. You are certainly an integral part of this community and I would be sad if you left permanatly but it’s far more important that you take care of you. If you ever felt you did need to go, you’d still be contributing to the blogger community in your abscence because you’d be leaving behind a lot of material which demonstrates how a professional blogger should operate.
