Diva

steal my heart...slowly. (click here for a raw shot)

I’m a redhead again today! I always feel like a diva whenever I go red.

Since 2007 I have uploaded over 3500 Second Life images to my flickr account. Almost each time I have done an image where I was smoking I have gotten people asking me why I’m glamorizing smoking. I understand their point of view, however to me, SL is my playground where I create all kinds of art. There are times I use guns in my images and I am a big gun control advocate in real life. I also have worn foxes and other furs in my images but that is something I would never do in the real world. I am not a regular smoker in the real world, in fact I can’t remember the last time I’ve had a cig. But again, when it comes to SL, it’s just part of the roleplay/look. Am I glamorizing? Quite possibly, but I definitely do not wish to advocate it in any way whatsoever. To me, it’s just an image.

So that’s my little disclaimer for this post. My apologies if the smoking image offends you.

The sexy dress I’m wearing is currently available from Vale Koer at Kustom9. The dress comes in solid colors and a dotted print. The black of course is very sexy but there was something completely seductive about this color that I’m wearing. All of the colors and prints are well done. One thing to note is that it only comes in fitmesh versions for both SLink and Maitreya mesh bodies.

The incredibly detailed freckles on my skin come from the talented designer Umazuma Metaluna of Skinnery. She currently has a skin available at the Season’s Story that has a freckled option and the maitreya body applier I am wearing is from her store as well. It came with an optional freckle tattoo applier which gives me these beautiful full body freckles. The freckles really are well done, however I also did sharpen them up a bit in photoshop. Here is a raw shot of the first image, so you can see them without the processing.

Its the same with me Berry..I wear sexy clothes in SL that I wouldnt in RL. We all the same Im sure. We are the person behind our avatar but the avatar is not us. Anyway your smoking (if it offends) gives an opportunity for people to talk about why people should break the habit “)

I can appreciate a cigarette in the artwork when it has a very detailed look at the smoke. In that, it’s an artistic shot although I would not advocate smoking either. That said, these are wonderful pictures, Berry.

  • Better Red than Rezzed I always say. But I’m just a bit obsessed with red hair.

  • AAAH! You MUST have the Project Bento Viewer to see the creations! Download from Alternate Viewers.

  • Hi ^^ Sorry but, what is your video card? xx

America tends toward the simplistic side when it comes to images. Magically any image is either advocating something, or is auto-biographical. This attitude usually shows up in aesthetic criticism about art. Usually no room is made for the existence of the imagination. God forbid you might engage in anything involving the ironic or anything requiring judgement on the part of the observer without “benefit” of an “expert” to guide them. So no apologies are necessary on your part. Love your blog, Yea! Keep it up!

  • Gorgeous image. I’m loving the freckles, with the skin worked with my Catwa and Belleza setup. I have trouble finding lovely freckled skin like this.
