This may be one of the most embarrassing and crazy blog posts I’ve ever done. But hey, I have never claimed to be completely sane!
If you follow me on Twitter or Plurk, I am sure you are well aware that I am a huge Bernie Sanders fan and I will be voting for him. Well, Stephen Colbert set out a challenge asking people to photoshop themselves into this photo beside Bernie and ask him to the Prom since Bernie claims that he has never worn a tuxedo. When I first saw the video, I immediately laughed my ass off but I thought, wouldn’t it be hilarious if I did this with my Second Life avatar? So yeah, here’s my avatar, asking Bernie to Prom. You think he’ll say yes?

Since I was going with a Bernie theme for this post, I figured I’d take a picture with my Bernie mug that Lil Lowey (LilPlaything) dropped on me recently. Unfortunately she doesn’t have it up for sale anywhere as of yet, but if she does put it on marketplace or something, I’ll let you guys know. I’ve also joined two Bernie Sanders groups inworld, but I haven’t seen much activity in them as of yet. You can see them in my profile under the groups section if you are also interested in joining them. If you know of anyone making other Bernie items inworld, please let me know as I would love to purchase them!

The primary elections start in less than 2 weeks and I really hope you guys have registered to vote already. If not, please take a moment to do so now! Remember, people have lost their lives over the chance to vote. As a citizen, it is your right to vote, take advantage of it! Every vote matters, if you feel that your vote doesn’t matter, here is an image that shows you it does:

They even have an app that I’ve installed that keeps me updated about the debates and such. Please use your vote to make a difference! <3

lol, i love Stephen Colbert. And great job on the pic’s Berry, looks great. Being in Australia its a bit hard to follow US politics, but Stephen makes anything funny!
Love the photos. Can’t wait to buy the mug. Thank you for supporting Bernie! Vermont is very proud of him. He’s made a huge difference for our state and we want to share him with the nation.
I love your passion, Berry. I may not be a Sanders supporter – although I do think he’s probably the most decent human being running in this election – but I really admire your willingness to speak up, take a stand and push for people to vote!
Side note, there isn’t anyone currently running I support. I’m waiting to see who the Libertarians run, as that’s the party I most closely align with, but if Trump wins the nomination, I will very likely vote for any Democrat that runs against him… I live in a “purple” state, so here in particular the votes matter more.
I vowed to never again vote for someone I didn’t fully support, but in the case of this election, and given I live in a state that’s truly up for grabs… if Trump is the Republican candidate I will have to re-evaluate that position.
Thank you all so much. I truly think Bernie is an amazing human being and I hope he really does win the election. I don’t want to tell people who they should vote for, I think that’s totally up to everyone to decide on their own. However, I do appreciate all of those people that will make an effort to vote for anyone but Trump. His xenophobia sincerely scares me and I worry about the future of America with him as a President. So thank you, if you plan to do that! <3

Great post! I love your comments about voting. It is sad people believe their actions don’t count. I have a lifestyle where I travel a lot and meet people from many different countries and cultures. One of the big things people always remark about is how incredible the ability to vote is. Just imagine living where you didn’t have such freedom.

Love the cartoon too and how RIGHT that is. We all need to voice our opinion and not be scared of any consequences. Discussion and debate is the way to open minds.
