I took this picture for the Campus Crawl – Back to School Hunt Blogger Challenge that Fashion Feed of SL and Avenue are running. Basically what you’re supposed to do is complete the hunt and then use at least one item from the hunt in your picture that tells a back to school story from your school years. I really didn’t know how to incorporate a back to school story with the stuff that I got from the hunt. I did take a picture of Berry just walking on the sim in that dress but then I remembered an old story from my university days so I went back and threw ManBerry into the mix. That took me forever to do because SL has just been hating me these days but I finally managed to get a picture.

So here’s my back to school story. In my first year of university, I lived in an apartment that was close by. However even though I had a car, I would still walk over because parking was just insane at certain times of the day. So I used to walk about a mile there and back. After a while I noticed this guy that walked the same way as me. I would see him a couple of times a week only though because we had different schedules. One day he just walked right up behind me and asked, “how do you walk in heels everyday?” I laughed and told him I was used to it and I didn’t always wear heels, he probably just caught me on the days that I did. Then he asked me why I had two bags because I would always have a purse and then my bag with books. I basically just said because I’m weird and I like to keep them separate. He laughed and then grabbed my book bag and carried it for me till we got there. Every time after that, whenever I saw him, he would just grab my book bag and we would chat as we walked. It was really sweet. He was genuinely nice and kind of adorably dorky, which I love in a guy. During the second semester though I moved back home, so I drove from then on and unfortunately never saw him again. The only thing I knew about him was his first name and what he was studying and then of course random tidbits of his daily life that we would share. The campus was so big and since he was a couple of years ahead of me and studying something completely different, we just never ran into each other again.

I don’t know why but sometimes I’ll think about him and the 20 minutes we got to chat and spend with each other a couple of times a week. I wonder what happened with him and where he is now. Do you have people like that from your past that you knew very briefly but have cute memories of? Do you ever think about them and wonder what happened? Am I just weird?

I tried to dress ManBerry up a bit dorky, but I don’t really have any dorky clothes for him. I did put glasses on him so hey that counts, a little bit! LOL

The hunt goes on till the 9th so you still have time to go down and pick up the stuff. The hunt items are all priced at L$1 and I noticed a few of them are free. The dress I’m wearing was free and my bag that ManBerry is holding for me was L$1 in the hunt. There is a free outfit for men as well from Legal Insanity. Although I do admit I did have a hard time finding a few of the things so I gave up but I did pick up majority of the items.
