Today’s Monday Meme is brought to you by my friend, Mr. Chaddi Masala. From time to time I get suggestions from people for the weekly Monday Memes I’ve been doing. I’ve gone ahead and created a google document where I’m saving them all, so I remember who to credit once I’m ready to do them. Meme instructions: Take a RL meme and bring it into SL. Or, if you prefer, create a new meme of yourself. Don’t forget to leave a link to your meme in the comments of this post if you decide to do one.

We’ve all seen the memes all over reddit, tumblr and other social networks. The idea here is to use your second life avatar and create a meme. You can bring a RL meme into SL and try making your avatar look like the person in the meme or just create a new meme of your own avatar. I found a few meme generators that let you upload your picture and create the meme that way, but I noticed that the image size was too small when it was created, so I googled and found out the font used for majority of the memes is called IMPACT, which is distributed with Windows so you should have it and be able to use it for your memes, as I did, using Photoshop.

I decided to do two memes. My first meme is of course a parody of Overly Attached Girlfriend. I actually adore Laina and watch her youtube channel religiously as I find her quirky and crazy sense of humor similar to mine. So I knew right away that I needed to bring this one into Second Life. Her memes always have something clingy written on them so I decided to take the strawberry route, obviously. 😛 I hope you guys do variations of overly attached girlfriend too as I find them hilarious. In her image Laina has a collage of Justin Bieber pictures behind her, so of course I had to do my collage of my ex, Mr. Catero Revolution. Doesn’t that make this meme even more creepier? 😛

Of course I always need to bring ManBerry into the mix whenever I can. So, I couldn’t resist dressing him up as Xzibit for the Yo Dawg meme. The formula for the yo dawg memes is such: “yo dawg, I heard you like X, so I put an X in your X so you can X while you X.” I decided to repeat the word meme for this as it went well with the memeception in this post. Some of the yo dawg memes I’ve read are so hilarious, so I’m hoping you guys share some as well.

I really wanted to do the Ermahgerd girl too, but I just didn’t have enough time to get the look together. I am hoping one of you guys do her as she is probably one of my most favs!
