Weekly Roundup & Friday Find: Calas Galadhon Park

I’m really late with the Friday Find this week, so I’ll be talking about a few things in this post. First I want to start off with my skin, it’s from YS&YS and I think it looks quite pretty on me. I went with a bare face. I tend to wear those most often. I’m not really a big makeup girl in either life.

I’m also wearing the latest release from Gos. The Harley Biker boots are available in a variety of colors with an amazing leather texture. There is even one that is worn looking. Gos does such an excellent job with texturing. They are incredibly real looking and have an option in the menu so you can hide or show the socks. I hid them for my look so they would fit with the House of Fox skinny leather pants. If you hide the sock in the boots, it fits really well with a variety of skinny mesh pants so I really appreciate that feature.

Finally, and one of my most favorite recent releases, is the leather trench coat from Erratic. The textures and the materials enhancement in this coat just blew me away. I love the way light bounces off of it. You can’t really see it that well with the lighting I used in my pictures, so click over to marketplace and try on a demo.

Friday Find: Calas Galadhon Park in Second Life

This week I went over to the Calas in Second Life. The Calas won the 2013 Avi Choice Award for Favorite Sim Build. It was definitely well deserved! The Calas Galadhon park estate consists of 11 sims owned and maintained by Truck Meredith and Tymus Tenk.

In today’s pictures I am at the Misty Mountains and for my fake wedding pics the other day I was at Dimrill Dale, which are both part of the Calas estate.

The sims are only open for another week and then they will close on February 1st for the whole month in order to get them ready for the spring season. Weekly Roundup

1. The Drax Files Radio Hour – Show # 3 with Esteban Winsmore – A bit of a controversial topic this week. A lot of people have a strong reaction to Esteban’s “humor” I don’t see it as a big deal but I probably wouldn’t ever be in that position where he would have the opportunity to harass me. But who knows though and who knows how I would feel or react. How would do you feel about his humor?
2. Rod Humble has resigned from Linden Lab – Jo Yardley was the first to break the news to us, and for me it was quite shocking. Not something I expected at all. I am anxiously waiting to see who the next CEO will be and perhaps also maybe making a meme out of him? What do y’all think? 😛 Also, Botgirl Questi is running for CEO and has agreed to make me her CFO. Wouldn’t that be fun! 😀
3. Love To Decorate – The Magazine – A fantastic new Home & Garden magazine for Second Life has started up this month. The team behind it are Apple Fall, Editorial Clarity-Flux, RicoRacer Flux and Shae Sixpence. You can read it on issuu.com as well as click over and like their Facebook Page.
4. TREMPE – Speaking of shiny and new, a new fashion agency has opened up and for the first time I’m going to be involved in one. I couldn’t resist signing up once I knew all the people behind it and their vision. You can keep an eye on their website, facebook page or flickr for further upcoming details.
