Skin Fair 2019

Skin Fair 2019

Skin Fair is a yearly event in Second Life brought to you by Pale Girl Productions and this year their event partner is LAQ. Close to 200 content creators will bring us new skins, cosmetics, tattoos, and mesh body parts to this event. Here is more information about it:

  • Skin Fair is open to the public on March 8th at 12:01 pm PST, and closes on March 24th.
  • Pale Girl Productions Info Group is free to join and will be sent DEMOs of the items available at the event starting on March 6th. This way you can join the group, try on the DEMOs and make your shopping list before heading over to the event. This group will also have 24 hour early access to the event.
  • Skin Fair 2019 Shopping Guide on the PaleGirl Productions website has images of items being sold at the event.
  • Pale Girl Productions Flickr Group will also have images of items available at the event.
  • Complexity limits of 50,000 will be enforced on the sims for the first week. So make sure you are wearing a lag-free outfit or you won’t be let in. The sims are also PG so please make sure all private parts are covered.

  • Just wanted to say that is a great look and photo in your top shot!

I can’t say that it looks like “you” to me LOL. I guess I have the old Berry etched in my memory and have an idea what is “you” and what is “not” — while YOU may have completely changed. We are such funny creatures.

I haven’t been a big fan of the current Skin Fairs, remembering the old ones which were such fun and such adventures with unusual themes and such. The same can be said for Hair Fair really — but newer folks won’t be making comparisons so they will likely have a great time.

Hope you are well and happy.

  • Impossible to visit those show. It is so painful for the laggy, 3fps!!. It should be use other way to hold show.

As always the little CUNT, thinking she is big deal, HUMILIATING the smaller designers, just like she did on the two former years.
Strawberry, remember that you’ll sing your rottenness when you die, bitch, you’re not better than anyone else. You’re just a fetid snotty kids fat mamma behind a screen who thinks you have it all online, but in fact you’re pathetic with your arrogance since you started your sorry SL by sucking pussy at Zaara. You’re nothing but a little bitch that forgot how to be HUMBLE and thinks she is born knowing it all just because she gets virtual shit for free. Nothing lasts forever, bitch, not even you, and when your ass is gone, all that will be left is a memory of your bad stench. Insufferable arrogant cunt.
    Stop humiliating people, bitch.

Wooah, Florence… chill. It’s you that’s forgotten to be humble. Stop humiliating yourself lol… If she did bash anyone in the past two years, then you should know better to not watch or at the least report it. Only shows your lack of anything to complain about.

I was extremely disappointed in this so-called “Skin Fair.” I went there looking for skins, not the least bit interested in cosmetics, nails, tattoos, shapes, or any other “non-skin” item… and was bored to tears. Less than 20% of all vendors had skin, and many of those who did had HEAD skins only – requiring you to go to their main store for the body skin in order to do a proper demo.

This is the last year I’m bothering to even go to this so-called “event.”

First of all, thank you Strawberry for taking the time to show us all the skin fair has to offer. I really appreciate that you introduced me to so many talented new (to me) SL designers. I have been around SL since 2006 and still enjoy the amazing efforts that SL creators are able to produce. I watched the whole video enjoying how excited you got about finding a new to you designer while you complemented their work throughout. I think Florence needs to take a chill pill or something as she obviously didn’t watch the same video as I did.

  • I kind of agree with Florence on this one. Although I would never belittle someone in such a way. I’ve been watching strawberry pretty much ever since I started my SL and over the years I think she’s just become a little stuck up. I once emailed her about a question I had. The response was short and very unhelpful. She’s putting all of these videos out for newcomers, yet is very unwelcoming to the same people she claims to want to help.

  • Thank you so much to everyone for all the support. I hope you found the skin fair video informative.

Amber, I apologize. When you emailed me to ask me about the eyebrow options in one of the skins I showed in a video, I logged in to check those eyebrow options and relayed the eyebrow options that I had available to me in the skin HUD to you in an email reply; I didn’t realize that information was unhelpful. You responded with a thank you and I appreciate that, but next time, please do let me know right away if the information I gave you wasn’t sufficient.

I receive a lot of emails and questions from people on a daily basis and because of my schedule it’s hard for me to reply to everyone, but when I do reply I do my best to help out in any way I can. Constructive criticism like this is important because it helps me improve my skills and do a better job in the future, so thank you for letting me know now and once again, I apologize for being unhelpful and unwelcoming.

  • It’s absolutely ridiculous that it’s still impossible to get in through either link a week after this fair started, during a weekday. It is not THAT popular. Keeping your limit low like this doesn’t represent exclusivity, it makes the person in charge seem unprofessional and cheap especially knowing when I do get in the lag will be unbearable. Other fairs don’t seem to have this problem.

@Ren Flow I have 2 female skins and 1 male skin available at the Skin Fair. I’ve heard similar complaints from my customers that many skin designers only offer the head for their new skins requiring the purchase of the body appliers separately, which is their right to offer. Because of these complaints from customers I always offer the system skin along with the body appliers. You still have a few days to stop by and check out my booth at the skin fair.

  • Love all the info you provided. Thank you so much. May I know which windlight you use? I totally adore it. The way you take pictures. I wish you someday do a video on your picture taking style like you had done before. Best wishes ♥

  • Hi Strawberry
What software are you using for recording these Videos you make? Cool high quality.

    Keep up the good work
