Summer Updates
Hello everyone, it’s great to be back from my much needed vacation. I missed you all and I hope the past month has been fun and eventful for all of you.
My vacation was fantastic, even though I got injured. I lost my footing on one of our hikes and I need to wear a knee brace for a few more weeks. It was worth it though as I had a lot of fun. I did start to get homesick around the end though, especially since I missed my bratty cat so much, so I’m happy to be home.
Now that I’m back, I see I have a lot of catching up to do, so with this post I’m going to start with a couple of thank yous.
Verve X Magazine
I was featured and interviewed for Verve X Magazine, which is a monthly magazine covering major influences of the virtual community. They are mainly focused on IMVU but are also now featuring Second Life. They did an extensive interview with me back in June and then published on July 1st. Maddie’s End of the World
I also wanted to give a shout to Maddie Wyatt. She’s one of my favorite Second Life youtubers and she created an adorable video during my absence. I think it was supposed to be a bit sad but I was giggling my way through it. SL15B Snap A Selfie Exhibit video by Glasz DeCuir
Glasz did a selfie exhibit at SL15B this year where she asked people to take a selfie at the exhibit and share it in the SL15B flickr group. I did a few group pictures at the exhibit and submitted them and a couple have managed to make it in her video. Thank you for including mine Glasz! Now I wanted to send a big congrats to Liz Milan West (lizzylo1212.xue) who had her Second Life work featured by Kim Kardashian for her new KKW Fragrance. I don’t know all the details, I just read about it on NWN, but I’m so happy to see that Second Life went mainstream in such a powerful way. Big congrats to Liz!
LeLutka Bento Addons and Upcoming Posts
In today’s post I’m using Lelutka’s new GumGum Boom animations. Along with the gum I also talked about the ice cream, cotton candy and lollipops from LeLutka. They are all mesh addon props with animations for your LeLutka bento mesh heads. You can watch me using them in my video which I’ve embedded above.
I made the video on the Cheertopia sim, which is the home of the SL Cheerleading Squad. The SLCS Sports Complex offers cheerleading, football, soccer, and other sports. You’ll also find many stores offering athletic attire & equipment, cheerleading uniforms and more. Teleport over and check it out!
Watch out for my upcoming posts in the next couple of weeks; I’ll be covering more bento heads, a couple of new tech-related tutorials and also some information about Animesh, which I hear is just around the corner now!
