Lookbook Cosmetics HUD Updates June 2018

Angelic

Last month was the first month the LookBook Cosmetics HUD was released. I did a detailed blog post about it with a few suggestions that I would love to see added to the HUD. This month they have made many of the changes so I will be doing another detailed video showing you what’s been updated and the vendors in the HUD.

Just a recap before we get into the video, LookBook Cosmetics HUD is absolutely free to pick up from the LookBook Boutique inworld or their marketplace store. It is released on the 27th of each month and has over 30 designers participating this month. They also have their shopping guide up for June 2018 so you can check that out before you even pick up the HUD.

These are the changes I requested in last month’s LookBook post, and this is how the LookBook team addressed my suggestions:

  1. I feel like the HUD is very small and it’s hard to see all of the details on the vendor ads. I would love to see an option to resize the HUD. – They have addressed this suggestion by implementing a way to resize the HUD by clicking on the double arrow on the top right of the HUD.
  2. An option to minimize the HUD would make things more convenient, especially when we’re trying on the DEMOs. We won’t have to remove the HUD to see the DEMOs properly, just minimize it. – They have added the ability to minimize the HUD by clicking on the minus sign on the top right of the HUD. Then to maximize it you click on the plus sign.
  3. I don’t always feel comfortable allowing access to my lindens. Finding a way to pay in a different way would put me more at ease about purchasing. – They have added the option of purchasing gift cards from the LookBook Boutique inworld. You can use the gift card by sending them to a friend or attaching it yourself as a HUD. Once you have attached the gift card as a HUD, click on it, and the amount on the Gift Card will be redeemed and added to your LookBook credit, which you can then use to purchase the items in the LookBook HUD.
  4. Having the price of the item on the HUD somewhere would make it easier to decide if we want to purchase before allowing access to our lindens. – I don’t see the price of the item listed, however they have added the name of the creator so it’s easier to see who we are buying from. The prices of the items can be found in their shopping guide

I am very happy with the changes and feel more comfortable using LookBook now with all these new options. A big thank you to the LookBook team for taking the time to do these updates, it’s much appreciated.

The Pink Fuel skin in this month’s LookBook is absolutely beautiful and I can’t wait to purchase it!
