Thank you with all of my heart <3

Yesterday was a day full of emotions for me and I really wanted to take a moment to thank you all for everything you did for me. When I decided to blog about the Trademark Complaint issue, my reason behind it was to let others know what happened to me so it doesn’t also happen to them. Never did I imagine that you guys would throw so much support my way, I was completely shocked and so appreciative.

Many of you also wrote your own blog posts about it with your thoughts, thank you so much for that. Many of you also went on Twitter and tweeted at me, the CEO, Linden Lab, etc… and even started a hashtag about it. My twitter had completely blown up yesterday and I couldn’t even keep up with the amount of support you guys gave me on there, thank you! A lot of you even had me in tears with your kind and encouraging words. When I say how much I love this little community and how supportive I think it is, it’s days like yesterday that really drive that feeling home. Thank you again to all of you, so very much! <3

A big thank you to Linden Lab as well and to all the Lindens that personally reached out to me too. Never did I imagine such a response, in fact I wasn’t expecting a response at all. I was and am still in complete shock but so happy to read that because of this, positive changes to the policies may be made and will benefit all bloggers and vloggers in the future. Thank you again to the Lab! <3

Disclaimers

While all this was happening yesterday, a few people on plurk were saying that the reason that Linden Lab probably removed my video is because they felt that I gave the impression that it was an official Second Life video, or that I was affiliated or worked with Linden Lab. They also said that I do that often with my blog posts and videos. Let me first say that it has never been my intention to mislead people like that in any way whatsoever, so if that is the impression I have been giving, I sincerely apologize about that.

My goal with my blog has always been to create my own brand as Strawberry Singh, and represent myself as a hobby blogger that does this because she loves this platform and uses it and this blog as a creative outlet. I try my best to run this blog in a professional manner, which I do with everything in my real and second life.

In every blog post whenever I blog any item, I always write the content creator’s name so people know that I did not make the mesh bodies or mesh heads or whatever item I am blogging that day. I know people still get confused and contact me as if I am the creator of whatever product I blogged so I think this may also be where the confusion is coming from when people assume I work for Linden Lab.

On my FAQ page I have written that I do not work for Linden Lab and that text has been there for at least a couple of years. Since 2010 I have on my Disclaimers page the following text:

Every year around this time I do a Holiday Giveaway on my blog and I have every intention of doing it this year as well. This time however the giveaway will run on my YouTube channel as I have finally reached 10,000 subscribers. BVN Blogger Secret Santa

Finally, I have been so excited about doing the BVN Blogger & Vlogger Secret Santa Swap. This is the first year they are doing it and the concept behind is that any blogger or vlogger can sign up, then you are given your recipient’s name, and you must blog about them or collab with them before December 25th.

So I got my recipient’s name and I decided that I would just blog about them and surprise them with the link since collaborating can be hard for me due to time constraints. My BVN Blogger Secret Santa recipient is Cherokee1716 Resident. This is her current profile picture.

Cherokee1716 Resident has her display name set to Cherry so I will be calling her that! Cherry runs a blog called The Fashion Advisory. I had not seen Cherry’s blog or flickr before so I am so happy I got her name and was able to discover a new, incredibly beautiful, and talented blogger. I love the way she dresses up her avatar and have been eyeing all the bling and glamour in her profile picture. If you are not following Cherry as of yet, I highly recommend you click over and check her out. She has some incredibly well done raw images on her flickr, love the lighting in this one.

The blogger that got my name reached out to me and I met up with her this morning for a picture. She said she is going to blog about me some time soon so when she does, I will edit this post and link to her Secret Santa post from here so you guys can check that out too!

A final thank you to the BVN team for running this Secret Santa Swap. I think it’s a great way for all of us Second Life bloggers and vloggers to get to know each other a bit better. If you are a Second Life blogger and vlogger and have not joined the BVN group inworld or on Discord as of yet, I highly recommend it. BVN has a great bunch of people running it that offer so much support to our little community. The BVN Holiday Party is also coming up soon. It will be on Saturday, December 16th at 12pm SLT and they’re going to have gifts, prizes, giftcards, store credit and BLOGGER SPOTS for some of SL’s top brands to win just by being there!
