LeLutka Cate Bento Mesh Head

The LeLutka Cate Bento mesh head was released at Skin Fair on March 10th. Cate is their third female bento mesh head. Their first female bento mesh head was Simone and it was released in December. Their second female bento mesh head was Chloe and it was released in February. You can click over to the LeLutka blog for full information about LeLutka Bento Heads, but I also want to share a few things about the new Cate head:

  • Price: The price is¬†L$5000 and the DEMO is free. ¬†It is¬†available at Skin Fair from March 10th till March 26th and after that it will be available at¬†the LeLutka mainstore.
  • Mesh Body Required:¬†As is the case with all LeLutka heads, you need either a Maitreya or SLink mesh body to wear with it as ¬†LeLutka heads are not compatible with system default avatars.
  • Omega Compatible:¬†This LeLutka head is omega compatible. You need to purchase and use the Omega Relay HUD for LeLutka in order to apply omega skins and layers to¬†it.
  • HUD:¬†The head comes with one main HUD and it has the following 4 tabs:
    1. The Essentials Tab:  consists of the default skins it comes with (by Glam Affair), makeup & tattoo layers, lashes, hairbases, scalp and ears hide/show and more.
    2. The Animate Tab: consists of your mood selection, expressions, talk on/off, parted lips, blink, eyelids and eyes. This head has such smooth expressions, watch my video below to see them!
    3. The Personalize Tab: in this tab you can use your own full perm textures to personalize your look using your own skin and makeup.
    4. The Options Tab: this tab will help you keep the head updated, trigger animations and gestures, repair transparency and materials, restore factory settings, kill scripts (make a copy of your head first before doing this), and more.
  • Customer Service Questions: If you have any questions about this head, it would be best if you looked at the designer‚Äôs profile, her¬†name is Jadenart, to see how she prefers to be contacted for customer service issues as I will probably not be able to assist you with that. The LeLutka CSR is Mavi Beck, you can also contact her.

Watch my video on youtube where I go into detail about this head:

These are the appliers I tried on the head in the video:

LeLutka has also released a series of animation addons that you can purchase separately and will work with all of your LeLutka bento mesh heads. These animations are currently available for purchase at Skin Fair as well. They had also released a set of human and beast teeth addons back in February, those are available for purchase at the LeLutka mainstore. I did a short video of all of these addons, the animations and teeth Рwatch it on YouTube:

Also I just want to remind you guys that Powder Pack is about to release a subscription box that is specifically for people that own and love LeLutka mesh heads.

Powder Pack LeLutka will be released on April 1st and it will consist of 12 makeup appliers for LeLutka mesh heads. It will go on sale starting March 18th and if you pre-order it before April 1st you will get it for L$1500. It will be available at the Powder Pack headquarters inworld and their marketplace store. shopping in my closet

The closet where I shot the video today is from Reign and it is currently available at the Arcade Gacha Event till the end of March. The closet comes fully furnished with the beautiful chandelier, clothing, shoes and accessories. It is a girl’s dream come true and I just wish that my Second Life inventory was this organized!

LeLutka Bento Heads Comparison

I was requested to do a comparison image of all three of the heads released by LeLutka so far. I have worn the same skin and shape in this photo:
Shape: StrawberrySingh Cate Shape
Skin: Glam Affair Cate Skin Cate Shape
UPDATE: I have released my shape for the Cate head now and it is available in my marketplace store. (UPDATE ‚Äď MY SHAPES ARE NO LONGER AVAILABLE)

UPDATE: All LeLutka bento heads (a total of 7 now: Simone, Chloe, Cate, Bianca, Greer, May, and Spencer) as of August 8th, 2017, have been updated and released to version 3.0. Version 3.0 has revamped the whole HUD and comes with lots of new updates, animations, expressions and moods. With these updates, LeLutka bento heads have become my utmost favorite on the grid, and now with 7 different heads to choose from, there is a lot more variety. I highly suggest you head down to the LeLutka mainstore, pick up some DEMOs and see which fits you best.

Hey Berry, the link to the Sophia skin takes you to a glam affair link. Where can I get hold of the Amara beauty Sophia skin please? Thanks!

  • I really love your Reviews. I helped me choose my first bento head. I just wished you would Show the Body appliers too, to Show if it works well with the face applier. as i got the demos inworld i saw that some Shops dont offer maching Skin appliers for the body.

  • Hi Elisa, Thank you! I’m glad you find my reviews helpful. Every skin that I show in the videos always has a Maitreya body applier because that’s the body I always wear and I make sure to pick that up whenever I get skins to go with my mesh heads. As far as other bodies, that I am not sure of and yeah that is something you would have to double check at the mainstore of the skin designers before purchasing the appliers. Sorry about that!

Hi Strawberry, Love to follow your blog.
You may want to mention the land impact of the REIGN closet. Although absolutely beautiful, I was shocked when I rezzed mine, after playing the gacha until I won it. With all the parts included the LI is 305. Yes, you can remove some bits to lower that BUT I would have thought twice about trying so hard had I known. And no it was not mentioned on the gacha key.

  • Thank you Lil, I never thought to even look at LI, it’s definitely an important number to know. Thank you for sharing it!

  • Thanks Berry, I’ve been in SL since 2005 (almost 12 years) until last month I had avoided mesh bodies. I tried them over the years but didn’t like them. Now its three bodies, several heads, a set of Vista hands, Powder Pack, and Cutie Loot for my Alt. Your reviews showed me the possibilities and convinced me to try again. Now thanks to you SL is fun again!-Willow

In nexus Mods people are giving stuff like that and much more for free!! it’s like they are doing the head from scratch for every client!

  • Hey Elisabel, a word of advice, whenever I find something to be over my budget, I just avoid buying it. ūüôā

Also, I am not sure what Nexus Mods are but please be aware if they are giving out things for free. Often those are copybotted items so make sure to do your research first before picking those up or advertising to others.

  • Have you noticed the neck is too long? And the arms? On the lelutka bento ones (Im not sure about the other mesh heads from this seller or other brands). I bought the Cate one and I noticed the neck was too long. I showed a friend of mine the avatar when it was set up, I never mentioned anything about the neck, and she mentioned that the neck was too long too, so I know it’s not just my judgement. I just thought it was odd. I do love the head though and it was one of the best purchases I made on sl.

  • Hey Jen, If you watch the video in this post, I show how you can change the head around by editing the shape and using the sliders in the appearance menu. You can do the same thing with the neck and arms, you can reduce the sliders to make them smaller. You’ll find their sliders in the torso tab. Hope that helps you out.
