Exploring Art Exhibits in Second Life

Exploring Hillany Scofield's Art Exhibition in Second Life

Today I decided to explore some art exhibits in Second Life and take you all along with me. I’ve made a couple of videos showing two different locations where you can go to appreciate beautiful art by some very talented Second Life residents.

The first exhibit I went to was “You Shine Through” by Hillany Scofield. Hillany is a very talented artist, blogger, photographer and I’d also like to add writer. While you explore her exhibit you can immerse yourself within it by sitting on the pose stands and taking photos of yourself as I did in the first image. Make sure you turn on your Advanced Lighting Model and Sun/Moon + Projectors when you visit to get the full effect.

Here is some information about Hillany:

Exploring the Vordun Museum & Gallery in Second Life

The second exhibit I visited was Remission by Mikel Monk, which is currently at the Vordun Museum and Gallery. Remission takes a look at the complex mind of resident Mikel Monk through his real life drawings. This exhibit started back in October and it has been extended so it is still up but I don’t know how much longer so please do visit soon.

The Vordun Museum and Gallery is an immersive experience where you can be led through the gallery with an audio commentary if you choose to do it. It is created and curated by Jake Vordun, who is the designer behind Fancy Decor.

Here are some links for the Vordun Museum and Gallery:

I went to a 3rd exhibit today. I didn’t get a chance to make a video there but I thought I would share the information in case you guys still felt like exploring. The 3rd exhibit is by Molly Mirassou at Studio M. This exhibit runs from February 17th till March 16th and it is a display of some of her Second Life photography of different locations inworld. She has a wonderful eye for landscape photography. Take the SLurl to Studio M and visit her exhibit now and you can also follow her on flickr.

I hope you guys enjoy my videos and exploring these exhibits today. I did have a bit of trouble with my microphone today, not sure why, so sorry if the volume fluctuates in the videos, I will be more careful of that in the future.
