Catwa Daniel Bento Mesh Head
Catwa Clip has just released her first male Bento head by the name of Daniel. Daniel comes with a lot of options but there will also be addons for him which you will be able to purchase later on.
I have made a little video about this head, explaining it in detail and also showing some appliers on it. But before we get to that, here is a list of items that you may find informative:
- Price: The price of this head is L$5000 and it is available at the Catwa mainstore as well as the marketplace. The DEMO is free and available in both places as well.
- Omega Compatibility: This head is omega compatible, as are all the other Catwa mesh heads. You can pick up the omega relay hud for Catwa heads on marketplace.
- Layers: This head has 3 layers: The first layer is for skin and then it has two layers for makeup on top of that, which are divided into different sections, providing you many options for a more customized look.
- HUDs: The head comes with two HUDs: the master HUD and the Animations HUD. The master HUD has all of the skin, makeup and hairbase options. The Animations HUD controls blinking, talking, static eyes and lips and 24 expressions.
- Rigged Eyes: The head comes with rigged eyes that should be worn with it and can be changed and modified using the Catwa Mesh Eyes HUD as well as any appliers made for Catwa mesh eyes.

I really like this head a lot and I can see myself making many different shapes for it. So far I have made the one I am wearing in this post and I will release it in my marketplace store very soon within the next couple of days. I’ll update it here when I do.

UPDATE 03-06-2017: I just wanted to do a quick update to let you guys know that some of the skins I used with this head above are no longer available (please contact the designers about that) so I am adding an image above of my male avatar in the three Tableau Vivant skin appliers that have been released for Catwa bento heads. I think they look amazing with this head and my shape, especially the Fabian so I have switched to wearing Fabian in tone 7 on my male avatar now. All three of these skins are available at the Tableau Vivant mainstore along with appliers for both SLink and Signature mesh bodies, which are sold separately.

In the video, you were not sure how to pronounce Clef de Peau. It sounds like ‘Clay de Peau’. I know french is not easy. We don’t pronounce the ‘f’ in this word. We could have written ‘clé’. LOL!
It seems to be a great bento head! One of my major problems with mesh head is to make neck transition to my mesh body smooth. I understand that it’s smoother if i have the same skin on my head and body, but I do like my body skin and wouldn’t like to change it – and it cannot be applied to other mesh heads than the one that’s made by the body designer. I wish there were options out there to try to reduce the problem.
Are there any stats re how many ppl have/have not updated to a Bento-grade viewer? I still haven’t and laugh every time I see someone whose eyes are suspended from their clavicles by little Erector Set girders in front of shiny pink brains! But maybe that’s just me. 😀

Hello, I have the daniel head and I have a signature body gianni but when I put them I have a problem with the skin tones they leave uneven but in your video they leave well I would like to know how to correct that mistake

Niccolo, I’m not sure as I didn’t have this problem. Have you tried contacting the designers of the head or body for assistance?

Niccolo, you can try turning off the neck fix in the Signature HUD and in the catwa HUD reduce the neck size and see if that fits better. Not sure why that’s happening to you as mine was a smooth fit. I would try contacting the designers again.

It should be in the main HUD. If it’s not there, make sure you are wearing the Daniel head that is the default neck size and not the Daniel head that is made for the Niramyth body.
Other than that, I wouldn’t know how else to help you. Please do try contacting the designers again for proper assistance as I am not sure the information I am providing will be of any help.
Is niccolo using the same skin for both head and body? As I remarked before, I, myself, wasn’t able to make the neck transition to my mesh body smooth, but I think it has a lot to do with the fact that I’m trying to keep the native body skin. Nonetheless, I’ve tried some demo skin appliers and it seemed to me that the neck problem would be at least reduced with them.
The Daniel skin is no longer at the L’Etre store just in case anyone goes to look for it. Still very new to all this mesh era stuff so I went with the Nivarro look but can’t get my Signature to match the skin tone on my Catwa head.
@Wrex – It’s not? That’s a shame. It’s a fantastic skin, and I’m glad that I picked it up when it was released. I wonder why it was removed? It’s not on Marketplace, either.
I’ve successfully managed to keep the Catwa Daniel head on Skell for several weeks now, so I think I can safely say he’s happy with it, although he’ll still take it off for certain photoshoots. Thank god he’s finally found a mesh head he can live with. Maybe he’ll stop bitchin’ now 😉

I recently purchased the Daniel head….there is no alphas in the folder. Am I missing something…I have a mesh body that uses my old sl head
Hey Thunder! There should be two alphas in there, there were for me. I suggest contacting the designer to let her know or going to the store and hitting redelivery.
what happened to L’etre? can’t find them anywhere.
they don’t have the skin at L’Etre
L’Etre has removed most of their skins due a DMCA filed against them. big sign in their shop. 🙁
