Powder Pack Giveaway!

Powder Pack is the latest subscription box to hit the Second Life market. The first Powder Pack will be released on January 17th and it will consist of 12 Catwa head makeup appliers. The cost is L$1500 if you pre-order it before the 17th, after that the price will of course increase.

The Powder Pack team was so generous that they have offered to donate 3 Powder Packs to give away to 3 of my blog readers. Since I’ve had a number of designers approach me now to do giveaways for my blog readers I have decided to install the Pick Giveaway Winner wordpress plugin on my blog which will help me run these giveaways in an easier and more efficient way. So watch out for more giveaways on my blog!

To enter this giveaway, post the following information in the comments of this blog post:

1. Your full Second Life username (not display name)
2. Tell me if you are a makeup addict in real life, and if so, which makeup item you can’t live without.
3. Tell me if you are a makeup addict in Second Life, and if so, what kind of makeup do you often wear in SL? What kind of appliers do you hope to see in Powder Pack?

The giveaway will end on Thursday, January 12th at 6am SLT and I will announce the winner shortly after that, so you have about a week to enter. At 6am SLT, I will use the Pick Giveaway Winner wordpress plugin to randomly choose 3 winners and I will then announce the winners’ names in the comments of this post and their names will be added to the Powder Pack subscription list by the Powder Pack team and they will automatically be sent the Powder Pack on January 17th. I thought I would take a moment to answer the entry questions myself. I am not really a makeup addict in real life. I don’t often wear that much makeup. Living in Florida, the humidity doesn’t make it that easy to keep makeup on my face and I’m also a very active person so I just end up sweating it off most of the time. One thing I do use often is just a bit of concealer in some areas as I have a few very small scars from a car accident a few years ago that I prefer to cover. I also love lip balms and usually wear Burt’s Bees, my favorite flavors are mango and pink grapefruit. But the one thing that I can’t live without is eyeliner and my favorite these days is Kat Von D Tattoo Liner.

As for Second Life, I think I am very much the same as real life. I don’t often wear a lot of makeup appliers and if I do it’s usually a winged eyeliner or once in a while I’ll do a color on my lips for a more statement look. But other than that, I do prefer a bare face with just a bit of liner. However, I do love the idea of using makeup appliers for statement pictures like the one in today’s post. The makeup is the one causing all the drama in this image and that’s what I love about it.

What I would love to see in Powder Pack is not only makeup but some cool hairbases (perhaps more shaved bases as I don’t see those as often) and I would also love to see wrinkles, dimples, freckles, moles, beauty marks and just more options to give us more of a unique look.
