Subscription Boxes in Second Life

You guys may have noticed that I am a bit of a subcription box addict in Second Life. I have to admit that I am also a subscription box addict in the real world as well. Not only do I subscribe to Sephora Play and Ipsy, I also get a few other boxes from time to time.

Since Luxe Box was first introduced as a Second Life subscription box back in May of 2016, more and more subscription boxes have started to come out and I am loving it! On this page I will make a list of all of the subscription boxes that I have blogged and I’m planning to blog. For all subscription boxes in Second Life I will always try and do an unboxing video.  I have a Subscription Boxes category on my blog and a Subscription Boxes Playlist on my YouTube channel where you can check out all of my unboxing videos that I do for any box that I end up blogging.

Here is a list of subscription boxes that I blog:

  1. LuxeBox – Mainly for female avatars but there are always a few home and decor items in there as well. Luxebox is released on the 15th of each month. They have an inworld group which you must join every month starting on the 1st and you have until the 14th (late night) to join it in order to receive that month’s box. The price of this box is L$1500 each month if you join the group in time. If you miss a month, you can purchase a previous month’s box at their LuxeBox Boutique inworld, for a higher price. Click over to my LuxeBox tag on my blog to see all of my LuxeBox blog posts so far.
  2. SwagBag – Brought to you by MadPea Productions, SwagBag is for male avatars and it is released on the 1st of each month. You have the whole month to go to the SwagBag headquarters and purchase the box for that month through their kiosk. The price of their box each month is L$1500.  If you miss a month, you can purchase a previous month’s box at the headquarters, for a higher price. Click over to my SwagBag tag on my blog to see all of my SwagBag blog posts so far.
  3. Treasure Chest – Mainly for roleplayers, fantasy fashionistas, steampunk stylists, post-modern AIs(murderous or otherwise) and post apocalyptic survivalists. Treasure Chest will be released on the 15th of each month. They have an inworld group which you must join every month starting on the 1st and you have until the 14th (late night) to join it in order to receive that month’s box. The price is L$1500 each month if you join the group in time. This box has not been released as of yet but their first month is this October, so you only have about a week left to join the group at that price before the price goes up. Click over to my Treasure Chest tag on my blog to see all of my Treasure Chest blog posts so far.
  4. DECO(C)RATE – Also brought to you by MadPea Productions, mainly contains original mesh decor, home and garden items. it is released on the 8th of each month. You have the whole month to go to the DECO(C)RATE headquarters and purchase the box for that month through their kiosk. The price of their box each month is L$1500.  If you miss a month, you can purchase a previous month’s box at the headquarters, for a higher price. Deco(c)rate has not been released yet, their first one will be released November 8th and I do plan on doing unboxing videos for that. I will put a link to my blog tag here once I get the first one up.

MadPea Productions is about to add another subscription box to their line of boxes very soon and rumor has it that this one will focus on female avatars! Keep an eye on MadPea Production’s events page for more information about it soon! I will update this page once it’s released.

I’ve also made a little video talking about these boxes, check it out on youtube: https://youtu.be/mZ1I15XBFdM

Remember to keep an eye on my Subscription Boxes category on my blog and my Subscription Boxes Playlist on my YouTube channel for my unboxing videos that I do for any box I end up blogging in Second Life!

It is simple: if I want to know, find Berry’s blog or video about it!

Subscription boxes, or how to buy items you don’t need, you would have usually not bought and that you will probably not use, for 1500/2000L….

Or how to spend 1000/1500L because there was -one- item you badly wanted…

    I dislike the concept…

  • I tend to agree, Sophie, but, that said, hope often triumphs over experience and I just subscribed to the first Deco(C)rate. I love rearranging furniture and houses in SL and I love MadPea so fingers crossed….

I like the concept of subscription boxes. I was no longer around when Luxe Box was started but I got back last month, saw all the hype about the box in various groups, joined and became a fan with my first box. Out of everything I received in September’s box, there’s only one item I didn’t love and don’t will probably never use. Other than that, getting fatpacks of shoes, hair, clothing, cute little animals, a gorgeous build and home decor from designers I purchase from anyway all for $1500/mo. is worth it to me (and in my opinion, a total steal). Add the anticipation of not knowing what’s in the box just yet…win-win.

  • Thank you so much everyone! I really enjoy the subscription boxes too, even if everything is not to my liking, I usually find at least a few things I love and for that price and all the excitement in opening it, I think it’s definitely worth the price.
