SwagBag September 2016 Unboxing Video!

The September 2016 edition of the SwagBag monthly Second Life subscription box  for male avatars was just released today. The theme for this month is Adventure and these are the 15 designers participating this round:

> M O D U L U S
> David Heather
> Drot (replaced MadDesigns from last month)
> BackBone
> Letis Tattoo
> C L A Vv.
> Come Soon Poses
> Etham
> Minimal
> Lapointe & Bastchild
> [sYs]
> ZOOM (replaced Unorthodox from last month, item not in the bag as of yet)

I only opened 14 of the boxes because ZOOM was a last minute replacement and will release their item tomorrow.

Watch my unboxing video on Youtube:

I think I liked more of the items from last month but this month really had some fun items in the box. I mentioned this in the video as well but I really do love the fact that Swagbag is themed, it makes all the items go together so nicely. Taking pictures with the items is always so much fun, especially from the cool poses and sets from Come Soon Poses.

One thing I do want to make a note of, in the video for the Modulus tattoos, I missed the fact that there was a Full Face version which you can wear all at once. I will try and make a note of that in the video too. Also, once Zoom releases their item, I’ll update my post to let you guys know.

If you would like to purchase this month’s SwagBag because you didn’t sign up before the release date, it should be available for purchase tomorrow at the SwagBag HQ for L$3000. The October SwagBag will also go up for sale starting tomorrow at the price of L$1500, so if you didn’t purchase this month, don’t forget to do it before the release date for next month or you’ll end up paying double the price again!

I’ll be unboxing again next month, you can watch all of my Second Life Subscription Boxes unboxing videos in this YouTube PlayList.

UPDATE: The Zoom item is now available. No redelivery is needed. You just rez the Swagbag box and click on the Zoom logo to receive it.

UPDATE: I believe the October SwagBag is now available for preorder and the theme for next month is Halloween!

  • Quite a good selection this month. Once again, L&B knocks it out of the park (and those leather pants go perfectly with their jacket from last month’s bag).

I’ve always been a bit dubious with regard to pants-n-boots fused combinations, since I like the flexibility of wearing each thing separately (and I’ve experienced issues in the past from some designers where the pants are amazing and the footwear is… less than stellar). However, the Gabriel ones in this month’s bag are pretty damn good.

A couple of notes on things you mentioned in your video:

The issues you were having with the Gabriel shirt sticking through the scarf is down to the shape you were using. I checked using the John shape that you wear for Manberry, and if you edit the pecs down to about 36 the shirt no longer pokes through. The scarf (use the one for standard avatars) also goes nicely over the Etham shirt, for a bit of variety 🙂

Also, the Minimal glasses do only come with silver frames – as you mentioned in the video – but they’re modifiable, so if you edit linked parts, then click just the frame you can recolour them. RGB 197-174-104 gives a decent gold tone.

  • Thank you Skell! I never even thought to mess with my shape to fix the scarf issue. I guess I will have to fiddle with that one.
