(UPDATE – MY SHAPES ARE NO LONGER AVAILABLE)

Every time I blog with my male avatar I am asked where I got his shape from, now I have finally decided to release a male shape. My old male shape was custom made for me by a friend and is not available for sale. I have put that shape aside now and have created this new John shape. I’ve been wearing this John shape in the last few posts I’ve done with my male body and now I’m ready to release it. You will find it in my marketplace store for L$99. I no longer offer DEMOs for any of my shapes.

The shape will be available with copy and modify permissions so you can modify it in the appearance menu if needed however I am supplying 3 versions of this shape. The first version I’m calling the medium standard size shape which should fit into your medium sized mesh clothing. The second version is the SLink mesh body version, which you wear with your SLink Physique mesh body. The third version is the Signature mesh body version which you would wear with your Signature Gianni mesh body. For the TMP male mesh body, I usually wear the medium size or the Signature version of the shape.

Please watch the following video for all of the details on how I wear this shape with the different mesh bodies and even mesh heads.

Watch the video on YouTube: https://youtu.be/GHOIMAMr9wI

For more information about the SLink body that you saw in the video, you can read my SLink Physique Male Mesh body blog post. The underwear I was wearing with the SLink body was one that came with the body itself.

For more information about the Signature body, you can read my Signature Gianni Male Mesh Body blog post. The underwear I was wearing with the Signature body in the video is from CS Tattoo.

The underwear I am wearing with the medium sized shape is an underwear layer from Zaara.

The skin I was wearing with the shape was Tableau Vivant Lucis and on the Catwa mesh head I wore L’Etre Ian.

From now on John is the shape I’ll be wearing on my male avatar in all of my blog posts and Zara is the shape I wear on my female avatar in all of my blog posts. I hope you guys like both of these shapes and you find them useful. Remember they are both modify so you can edit them to your liking if you prefer. Feel free to email me if you have any questions about them.

  • Really like this shape a lot, Berry – he’s lean and (not) mean! 😀 I just hate those bulky hulk-like shapes that some guys wear out there. To me, those are a major turn-off.

I’ve always admired a guy who’s got those swimmer-type muscles – strong and long, but not bulky!

    GREAT job! ♥♥

  • Great to see a really nice, affordable male shape (and by ‘good’ I mean – like Skye in the comment above – one that isn’t a muscled-out hulk). I’ve been pondering a blog series about looking good on the cheap for male avatars, so I’ll pick up this shape to take a look at it with a definite view to using it.

Of all the cheap (and especially the free) shapes for men that I’ve been checking out for that series, I haven’t yet found ONE that adheres to my own personal aesthetics: the swimmer’s body with a long torso and legs, broad shoulders and lean musculature. I can’t bear the short, bulked-out triangle shape that I see so often around the Grid. And, while I can edit shapes down to make them more bearable, it’s too much to ask of a newb who just wants to look good (instead of ‘roided out) to faff around so much with the shape interface.

    Nice work!

  • Update: Pretty good! I made one small edit (reduced the neck length) but otherwise it’s great. I used it for a Noob Dude look, so I eschewed mesh bodies and hands (I’d forgotten what a bloody PAIN it is editing out thumb spikes on male system avatar hands) and just used cheap and free content.

  • Thanks so much Skell, I’m delighted that you liked it and thanks again for the suggestions!
