Akeruka Tony Male Mesh Head
The Tony mesh head from Akeruka was released a couple of weeks ago at an event, but now it is available at the Akeruka mainstore.
Here are some details about the Tony head:
- Price: The head is now at the Akeruka mainstore and costs L$3499. The DEMO is free. Both the DEMO and the HEAD are also available on the marketplace.
- Tones: It comes in all 10 Akeruka skin tones.
- Appliers: You can wear this head with the default SL body or with a mesh body. It comes with skin layers for the default classic body as well as appliers for TMP, SLink and Omega in all 10 tones.
- Developer Kit: If you are a content creator in Second Life and want to create skins and appliers for Akeruka Mesh Heads, they have an online application form at this link.
- Animated: This is a fully animated head, which means you have the option to turn on the many face emotes it comes with as well as the talk animation. The talk animation is triggered once you start typing in local chat, (you will see the lips moving.)

Oh, I am all OVER that Swag Bag one after seeing the list of designers! (And I’ll sign up for the other one, too. It’s so rare to find a guys-only thing that I have to give it a try.)
Normally I’d be a bit wary of these, since – even at the Mens Dept – there can be months where I’m sorely disappointed by most of what’s on offer. So much male content tends toward the same-old-same-old of “hoodies and baggy dropcrotch jeans” to the point where, at some non-gendered events, that’s all there is for men. (Although I did buy that BlankLine hoodie at TMD. I don’t own many hoodies, but when I find a good one, I will buy it.) But I’ll definitely sign up for these and cross my fingers for more than dropcrotch jeans stuff 😉

A friend of mine has just bought AK’s Marco Bento head and has the Signature body. All the posts I read say that AK’s head come built in with skins, but when he chooses the skin on the mesh HUD the skin on the Signature body does not change colour. There is always a mismatch 🙂
Any idea on what he could be doing wrong?

I will say their CSRs lie to you. I bought the tony head and had a hell of a time finding a black skin that was suitable. I saw the Keith head and noted its skin was what I liked so i asked in chat if Keith came with the same dark skin that applied to the body, I was told yes. Well I go and buy the keith head just for the skin, low and behold the skin Keith comes with is the exact same skins as what tony comes with. So i contact the owner who tells me even though I clearly stated I bought it solely based on his CSR telling me Keith’s skin was different and applied to the body, which it did not, that no refund was possible. So this company supports their CSRs lying to make a sale and when you point out the error its your loss.
They basically scammed me. I had no reason to buy Keith head other than for the skin (( head + body )) for tony. I only bought it based on the CSRs word that it would indeed apply to tony and indeed had a different + matching body skin, well sad to say the body skin included with Keith does not match, the head is dark, the body skin is light.
