Happy Ramadan!

Happy Ramadan! (click here for a raw shot)

Depending on where you live (and the moon), the Islamic month of Ramadan will begin in the next couple of days. During this month, muslims from all over the world fast from sunrise till sunset and at the end of the month we have a big celebration called Eid. I try to do a Ramadan and Eid image every occassion, you can check them out in my flickr set.

I will be fasting again this year and along with that I will also be doing a bit of traveling over the summer. I’ll still be around and will make sure to make time and login and blog whenever I get the chance though. No matter how busy and full my real life is, I always want to make time for my Second Life. This is such a wonderful outlet for me, where I can release my excess energy and share my creativity.

Morni

It’s been a tough year for muslims, especially with all of the hateful Political rhetoric being spewed incessantly. So, I really wanted to thank all of you for your continuous support and encouragement. I sincerely appreciate your compassion and understanding. I also wanted to take this opportunity to wish you all a wonderful and prosperous month and year.

Happy Ramadan! <3

    Ramadan mubarak mine bestie! <3

  • Happy Ramadan, Berry! I so agree with you. I’m so tired and sad at people coloring ALL Muslims with the same brush. You know, after 9/11, my former landlord’s teenaged daughter was attacked on her way home from school and I was appalled. In the 15 years since, not much has changed except the haters have gotten worse. Why? Why can’t we all just get along? Safe travels!

  • Much strenght through ramadan, eid mubarak and happy travels, Berry.

  • Happy Ramadan from South Africa – may it be a wonderful and peaceful time for all celebrating <3

  • Hi, Berry! Thank you so much for sharing yourself and your experiences here; you are lovely and I so appreciate your work and presence.

Happy Ramadan! In some ways I am a little jealous as I don’t really don’t have any kind of tradition that I follow that is unique. You are very unique and so is Ramadan. At least I think it is and people need to learn to embrace the unique and the things that are different from what they normally do. Please keep being you, cause you just rock!
