Country Girl
The first day of spring was just a few weeks ago and I’m already seeing sim owners convert their sims over to springtime weather. One of the latest and most popular sims I’ve seen photographed these days is Nusquam, which is owned by the talented Randi Lenroy. Ziki Questi has done a great job of capturing the sim and covering it on her beautiful Second Life travel blog. If you’re looking for a bit of spring inworld, definitely give Nusquam a visit. It’s a very photogenic sim!
I loved the country look of this part of the sim so I decided to dress up as a country girl. I was asked to do a vendor image for the Bueno breeze shirts and I had such a blast dressing up as a cowgirl for the look. I am wearing the plaid version of these shirts in the first image, but they also come in a very cool denim version as well. With my cowgirl hat on I felt like I was channeling my inner Taylor Swift.
In the second image I am wearing the Catalina overalls from Addams because what is a country girl without her overalls? I am also wearing my Catwa Gwen head which works so well with this Kylie skin applier from Bold & Beauty. Probably one of my most favorite appliers for Gwen now. I tried it on some of the other Catwa heads, but the lips really only work with Gwen so make sure to try a DEMO before purchasing if you are planning to wear it with another head.

That grass there looks a bit more like fall grass, the trees look spring though. Farmers around here (Central Illinois) haven’t started planting yet. Maybe next week or the week after, and it will be a ton of corn and soybeans.
Funnily enough some of the locals look down upon those who wear cowboy hats around here, considering them “fake-cowboy poseurs” since Illinois is corn/soybean country, not cattle. Hats here tend to be tractor company and agribusiness company hats here, or plain colored baseball style if worn at all. If you’ve seen those ads for “farmersonly.com” the local farm girls dress NOTHING like the girls in those ads. If anything they’d look like what you looked like in the pic with the Bernie Bear. Strangely enough, Bernie carried the county in the primary..surprised me.
I love the colours in the ‘edited’ photo…how do you do that, would love a lesson one day. I take photos but usually post them raw. I like how you turn your photos into art.
