Butterfly Dreams

butterfly dreams

The mesh head I’m wearing in today’s post was actually released in March of 2014 and I had blogged it back then (Slink Visage Post) but since I have been making videos of mesh heads recently on my youtube channel, I thought I would break out the Emma head and share the expressions of that one as well.

I believe SLink was one of the first to release a mesh head with expressions. At that time when I had tried them, I didn’t feel they were quite me and wasn’t comfortable wearing them. But now that I have gotten more used to mesh heads, I like it quite a bit. I think it has a beautiful side profile. I am not a big fan of the expressions still, but overall it’s a lovely head so I did want to feature it properly once again with a video this time.

Here is some info about the head if you are interested in purchasing:
> Price – L$2250
> Demo – free
> Location – SLink Mainstore

My beautifully animated butterfly wings are from Hopscotch, currently available at the Gacha Garden. You can see how they work in my video but Chandni also has a video with more details on when each of the flapping speeds work.

Please note: the butterfly AO I am using in the video and the first image is actually one that comes with the rideable butterfly. Even though it is a riding AO, I just thought it looked kind of cool just like that so decided to show you guys.

Since I was dressed up like a beautiful butterfly fairy, I decided to visit the Sand Dunes sim, which is the home of the Salt & Pepper mainstore. The sim itself has a winter theme right now, however I recalled visiting once and noticing a little hidden area that was on the other side of the sim, opposite the store, with the loveliest little fairy garden. I had to go back for that. As you can see in the video I posted above, it’s just a beautiful little place and wonderful for pictures. It also has a little hammock (which I had derendered for my shoot) so you can spend some relaxation time there. The hammock also has animations for couples!

I don’t care for facial expressions but am open minded to see how they do on the mesh heads. Saw one a while back that was just too much on a male head. Even just smiles I think don’t look right on the prim faces except for a side profile. I normally turn off the facial expressions on the sim equipment per others complaints too. Several said it was wrecking the moment seeing them. laughs.

Thank you so much for this post! I have had the Emma head for a few months now, and overall I love it. I have found it a bit hard to find appliers, but thanks to you for linking to the list of designers. I have been going back and forth between Romy in India by Glam Affair and Lolita in Tan by .:WoW:., and both look fantastic, but I have wanted to experiment a bit more.
Admittedly, the expressions do look a bit cheesy, I found that keeping the open mouth one on most of the time looks slightly sensual but not overly dramatic.

Absolutely loved the video. I love the look of the Emma. May I ask what shape you were wearing, and did you tweak the Emma? I have been looking for just this look, and unfortunately am not so talented with the sliders.
