I Got Engaged! (not really)
I happened to have stumbled upon this gorgeous ring on marketplace and so I asked my plurk friends which one of them would propose to me with it. Obviously I was joking, but I was thinking perhaps in the future I’d pick it up for myself because I really do love rings and in the ad pictures it just looks stunning. Then a friend from plurk, Italia Villota, sent it to me as a gift. Now I just need to convince her to actually marry me, lol! In all honesty though, I sincerely appreciate it, so thank you Tali, you are a sweetheart. <3
The ring itself doesn’t look exactly like it does in the ad on marketplace, but it’s not too bad. I haven’t processed the picture with the ring too much, but you can also see raw shots of it in my plurk. The HUD it comes with is also very extensive and has options to let you resize, change metals, change gems, and options to turn off ‘full bright’ and bling and lower glow. I think it’s quite reasonably priced for a wedding/engagement ring as well, especially with all the options it comes with.
So if you are looking to propose to your beloved in the new year or even this upcoming Valentine’s, Ysoral Luxury Jewelry may be a place to keep in mind because they have quite a large selection of rings that come with many options.
I realized I hadn’t blogged without a mesh head since early November so I thought I should do it at least once more before the year is over. I have to admit, even though I love playing with all the mesh heads, my original face is still my most favorite. I forgot how pretty I can make it look once I really doll it up with the right skins, jewels, eyeliner, eyelashes, etc…
I did plurk the other day how out of all of the mesh heads I have played around with, the Logo Alex head is the one I feel the most ‘me’ in. I think it’s just incredibly pretty and has some of the best expressions. I also feel the most comfortable in it and that it looks a lot like the original me. I’ve shared a raw shot of it in my plurk here.
Have you found the mesh head that feels the most like ‘you’ as of yet? Do you still prefer your original SL face? If you haven’t tried any mesh heads in 2015, will you be willing to try them in 2016?

I’ve tried lots and lots of mesh heads but I’ve not found any that work well for the Afro Caribbeans look I want to achieve. However I have swapped over to one of the new default avatars and the head on that combined with my mesh body works well. It will never compete with a high end mesh head but it is a definite improvement. Smoother and crisper. Plus I can still tweak it so that it looks like me. So for now and until the new mesh heads are released with all those extra ‘bones’ the new default avatar will do!
I still like my default SL face, but I’ve grown very attached to my CatWa Annie head. I’m hoping Nena Janis (League) will make appliers for Catwa heads. I’ve been trying different appliers, and I’ve found that’s what it comes down to …finding the right applier. I’m so happy we are seeing more and more different mesh heads now because it squashes that fear everyone has of losing individuality.
I’ve bought 2 CATWA heads, hoping I would settle in and feel comfortable. It hasn’t happened yet. Sigh. My “normal” skin that I feel comfortable is an LAQ skin. I’ve sent Mallory notecards, but have heard nothing back yet. I did buy the applier (for Linnea) but it’s not the same as my Tess skin.
Right now I’m hoping that what my momma said when I was little is true: “Good things come to those who wait.”

Right now I’m on Lelutka Karin but the search for the combo that really feels like “me” is still on.
That said, Vive Nine has finally opened up the Fiore heads to third party development, that should produce some interesting results. I am keeping my eyes on that one now, going to see what skins come out and how extensive the appliers will be. It’s like LOGO making a proper dev kit for the actual LOGO heads instead of a blank Omega head – there is potential for real power there. Miss Canning has already released a brow applier for it.

Yes, your face is so incredibly beautiful. I’m glad you took a pic without your mesh head. I love it!
I took the plunge to a mesh head only last week. The catwa Jessica head, I really like it, especially the options for mouth shape and expressions. It was refreshing to find that the skin tones that came with the head match up with my pink fuel skin nicely – so no need for additional appliers (so far!)
Really not sure if I prefer it to my standard face/look, but I haven’t taken it off since buying it.

Pretty face, mademoiselle 🙂 I love how ur standard SL ava face look. No matter what head u wear, u make it look ‘Berry” 😉 Sometimes I feel pity my ava not have her usual look, I made her such chameleon that forgot how she does look for real lol. Time to time I prefer to make my doll without mesh at all.

While I have seen some pretty mesh heads none have piqued my fancy enough to demo. I still prefer my original face . Maybe 2016 will be the year to take the plunge.
That last picture of you is quite beautiful and Verry Berry. I prefer Berry head you to mesh-head you any day of the week and twice on Sundays. But I’m weird that way. Still haven’t found a mesh head I truly like enough to wear it all the time.

I do prefer the default face on myself as well, but mesh heads are so wonderful with animations and also save time in photoshopping all the bumps and such out of the images.
