Tennis Anyone?

Truth released this amazing hair and hat combo at Uber recently that I just had to do a little sporty outfit for it. There is also a hat-less version of this hair that is incredibly sexy too. I figured the pleated skirt and long-sleeved tee from Addams, also available at Uber, would make a great little tennis outfit. Add the Nylon Chucks from FATEstep and you got an adorable and sexy little sporty outfit. The tennis racket+pose I picked up from Repose is available on the marketplace.

Once I was all styled, I did a search inworld for ‘Tennis court’ and ended up at The Renaissance Country Club which has this beautifully lush green court where you can play tennis with your friends. At least I think you can, as there was a board there that provides you with a racket, ball and keeps score. However, when I pressed the start button, it said the court is set to private. So not sure if you need to be a member of the club to play, but there obviously must be a way as I see images of people playing different sports on their facebook page. So if you are interested in playing some sports and socializing, this may be a place you want to check out! (UPDATE: I was sent an offline from someone that has played at the Club before and they stated that you just need to join the Club’s group and you will have access to all of the sporting facilities. Definitely a place to check out now!)

Now for something a bit off-topic. I wanted to share this little video and talk about it a bit because I feel it carries a very important message, especially during this time of year.

There are a few things about this video that I really disliked, one of which is the language that he chose to use when telling the girls that he had spiked their drinks. It was almost as if he was victim-blaming, saying “you or your friend were not careful and I was able to do this.” But that aside, I do feel that this video carries an important message, especially at this time of year.

About 4 years ago on New Years Eve I was at a house party and I was roofied. Luckily, with the help of some friends, I was able to recognize what was happening to me and was taken home safely. During this time of year, we tend to go to a lot of parties, drink, mingle and socialize. Please be aware of everything you are consuming, stay safe and protect yourself. You want to make sure you have a good time and not get yourself into a dangerous situation.
