LeLutka Simone Special Edition Mesh Head

Winter Formal

On Tuesday, December 22nd LeLutka is releasing a special edition mesh head by the name of Simone. Simone has a lot of new interesting features compared to LeLutka’s previous heads. Simone is a 1.4 version of the heads while the previous released heads are at a 1.3 version.

Here is a comparison of the differences between the new HUD and the previous HUD:

LeLutka Mesh Head HUDs

The 1.4 Update includes:

  • Faster script time on communications between the features of the product.
  • Lower load for the mesh, giving you a faster rezzing time, and decreasing your mesh impact to yourself and others.
  • Blend/Mask mode for eyelashes.

Simone’s special edition features include:

  • Added new sultry/bored eyes option in expressions section of HUD.
  • Replaced closed mouth smile, half smile and lip bite with kiss, sneer, lick expressions.
  • New gestures to incorporate the new facial expressions.

I did have a few questions regarding the Simone features, but the LeLutka CSR, Mavi Beck, is not online at the time that I’m writing this so I’m going to write the questions here and come back and update this once I speak to her and get her responses: (UPDATE: Mavi has left me an offline, these were her responses)

  1. If and when will the previous mesh heads be updated to version 1.4? (She didn’t say if the previous mesh heads will be updated any time soon to 1.4.)
  2. Will the new added expressions in the Simone HUD be added to the previous mesh heads as well? (She said that the expressions we see in this special edition HUD are unique to the Simone head and they do not plan on importing them to all the other mesh heads.)
  3. Is there a way to access the expressions that have been removed and replaced such as the closed mouth smile, half smile and lip bite? (The replaced expressions cannot be accessed by using this Simone head because they were not made to be available for this one, but they will still be available for the previous heads.)
  4. Is there a way to trigger the expressions by typing gestures in chat? I have tried to type the gestures that were written in the notecard in local chat but it did not trigger the expressions on my face. What am I doing wrong? (The expressions can be triggered using gestures in local chat, they just need to be activated. To activate the gestures, you can just right-click on the gestures and hit activate (they become highlighted once activated) and then you will be able to type the corresponding text in local chat to trigger the expression.)

One thing to note is that all of the previous appliers that have been released from different 3rd party skinners will work with any and all of the LeLutka heads, including this one.

Here is a little video I’ve done showing some of the features of this head:

can I keep the crown tho?

On Sunday it was the 2015 Miss Universe Pageant and Steve Harvey was presenting this year. At the end of the program he announced the wrong name and it led to a very awkward and hilarious situation. I do feel bad for everyone involved, the girls and Steve Harvey himself, but I also feel he did handle it the best way possible after making such a mistake. So of course, I had to create a meme for this in Second Life and what better way to use the new sneer on this mesh head?! If you haven’t seen it as of yet, here is a little clip from the show: https://youtu.be/nmqAjr0xs04

  • THANK YOU, IN SO MANY WAYS FOR KEEPING US UPDATED TO ALL THAT IS UP AND COMING IN THE WORLD OF FASHION.

I AM WAITING IN LINE FOR THIS HEAD.

Thanks for this review. I’m curious to see the answers to your questions.

The additions to the eye expressions are very nice. I am a little concerned about the mouth expressions, though. If the 1.4 version gets rid of the closed mouth smile, that will be a shame. We can’t all walk around with fierce resting bitch face. I prefer a softer, less pouty look and I hope that people like me haven’t been left behind for the pouts and sneers. And no, the kissy face doesn’t count. I’d also love to see a very slight open mouth that has less teeth showing.

Can tongue texture be changed berry? I saw in another pic by someone it was very dark reddish kind of colour

  • Cristalle, i think this head was made to look like this especially. Maybe other mesh heads will update, maybe not, you can always just use your 1.3 in case they update to the new expressions and use the ones you prefer 🙂

Great MEME. I had heard the news but not seen the video, till your post. I felt so sad for Miss Columbia. She proved to be a champion the way she handed over ‘her’ crown.

  • Gin Perdide

    hahahaha, that sneer is perfect.

  • Thanks everyone!

Amber, as far as I know, there is no way to change the texture on the tongue.

Cristalle, I got the answers and updated the post with them. Basically the new expressions you see in this HUD are unique to this head and will not be imported into all the other heads.

Damn I want hud v1.4 on the stella and Karin head damn it, why they hold out on us? the other heads came first and I like my heads, will not buy another head they should simply do hud v1.4 for all the heads, so bloody stupid if they don’t and alot of people will be furious and leave nothing but bad bad bad reviews, its as simple as that, not a very good sale tactic really, Updates for all lelutka come on get it bloody right!

  • lol srsly lilmizz, it’s not the end of the world. I would prefer if they didn’t update all the heads with the new expressions because there are three expressions we will lose from the older set, and one I really liked, which is the soft smile. Everyone has different preferences, perhaps there will be future updates and special editions with different heads, who knows. The current heads are pretty fantastic on their own.

  • Cristalle Karami

    Whew. Thanks, Berry.

  • Thanks for this…major question tho? How much is this new head? Tyvm

I like the blending options and materials customizations that Lelutka offers for their heads. I know it could not have been easy to include all those options and makeup layers. Bravo on the tricky scripting with the expressions as well.

However, I can’t bring myself to buy their heads. Even with no expressions, this head looks angry to me (like the above comment about resting bitch face). It is possibly the steep angle and placement of the brows. Perhaps with a different skin applier that could change. Add to that the permanently pouty duck lips which seem to plague most mesh heads (especially Lelutka) and it’s a no go for me. It’s even difficult to find skins for the default head that do not look horrible with smaller lips.

Maybe I’m too old or this head is too “fierce” for me, but these are things I have noticed.

  • Hey Camilla, I am not 100% sure but it should be the same price as the previous LeLutka mesh heads, which were around L$2500.
