Catwa Jessica Mesh Head

About a week ago Catwa released a mesh head, named Jessica. I saw the beautiful Kaelyn Alecto wearing it and decided to give it a try myself.
It has a much softer look than most of the other mesh heads on the market and I really did like the way it looked on me so I purchased it for myself and picked up an applier for it from Skinnery. I definitely don’t look or feel like myself in the mesh head but I do like it for all its fun animations and for random picture taking once in a while. Below are some details about the mesh head.
- The price of the mesh head is L$3599.
- It comes with a HUD with 5 tabs: Animations, Lashes, Eyebrows & Eye makeups, Blush & Lipstick, and Skins.
- It has 9 animated expressions which you can continuously play if desired.
- It comes with a hairbase HUD which provides several different options.
- It comes with a free Developers Kit which you can use to create appliers.
- It also comes with a shape and it says that you must wear that shape with the head, however, I didn’t. I wore my own shape which is close to the medium size of standard sizing but it had a bit of a gap between the head and neck at certain angles.
- You have to wear mesh eyes with this head and will most probably need to re-position them.
- 12 designers have already released skins appliers for it and DeeTaleZ is about to very soon.
- It is Omega compatible.

I admit, I do love the look of this head very much. It’s done with a much more softer, gently rounded face and the features are simple exquisite but the price, after purchasing a mesh body; will be seriously off putting for most people. I did the demo, did enjoy the look and then turned around and looked more seriously at another mesh head, with an equally as beautiful face; that is animated with expressions also but priced for 1100L less.
Thanks for reviewing this mesh head–I have been seeing it a lot and am glad to get your opinion on the product. It seems really expensive AND limiting if you have to use their body (or are requested to). Clothing designers must be going crazy trying to keep up with all of the mesh body/feet/hands we have now. Surely we can come up with a standard and stick with it.

I was totally on board with this head until I saw the price. I’m also really not down for those making heads only meant to fit one body.
Stacey and Dely, I think there is a confusion. I did not mean that you have a use a particular mesh body with the heads, I just said that the head comes with its own shape, but I used my own. You can use any mesh body with this head, or even the default sl body.

I purchased the Mesh Head Jessica and i love how it looks..one of the only ones i really liked enough to buy…and my favorite skin maker has many skin appliers and make up to go with the CatWa Head..she also makes alot for the other brands of mesh heads..i am just having problems with the hair base..is there another hair base hud or add on? I wear blonde hair alot and the hairbases on the hud dont go light enough. Please someone help me on this..
Sensii, I don’t really know much about the blonde hairbases as I don’t usually wear that hair color. I suggest you contact Catwa Clip, she should be able to help you out.
Strawberry Singh…thank you i did go to the Catwa shop..and on their desk in front of the doors when you walk inside..there is gifts…so if you pick the gift that is for CatWa Mesh Head users inside that pack is 6 free huds..one being a hair hud which has all colors possible for the base..there is lipstick hud..an eyelash hud ..and 2 mini huds..not sure what those are yet for i have not checked them out…an awesome gift!
I’ve returned to SL and discovered mesh everything. I am wearing Lara and would love a mesh head. I love the Jessica one but for the life of me I don’t understand the appliers and how to get a skin that matches my body. I watched your videos, followed your links but got nowhere. Why can’t they all make the same colours of skin to make it easier on everyone?
Can i get the shape please?
