What Second Life Means to Me
To celebrate Second Life’s 12th birthday Linden Lab has introduced a video share project called “What Second Life Means to Me” in which they have asked some Second Life residents, as well as some Lindens themselves, what Second Life means to them. I was very happy and nervous when I was asked to be a part of this, mainly because I never really know what to say. However, Mr. Draxtor Despres helped me tremendously with this by asking all the right questions and getting me to break out of my shell a bit. I know it’s hard to believe, but I can be quite shy at times!
I love the video Drax has done of me but I also love his and Xiola Linden’s too. Xiola’s video was made by Torley Linden. Here are links to some of them:

Oh this is wonderful!! Berry and Torley, two of my favorite SL Mentor’s if you will. I learn so much from your tutorials and how to’s. What SL means to me is continuos learning, SL offers so much to explore and create, so much to see. It is all about community!! ( I like Drax and Xiola too, just not as familiar. )
I really enjoyed this blog post and the videos. It reminded me in a concise and simple way why I came to Second Life in the first place and, more importantly, why I have stayed so long.
Many things have slowed my creativity in SL in recent years but watching those videos and listening to what everyone was saying about why they were in SL refreshed my view of the world at a time when I have been reflecting on what I’ve been doing, where I’ve been going and where I want to go in this amazing virtual world.
It’s really easy to let my mind get bogged down in the details of running a business in Second Life and lose sight of the basic reason I fell in love with it in the first place. Thank you.
Great videos! You did great, Berry. And Drax’s video was pretty fantastic to me, too. SL is powerful and is very much what we make of it, and these images were very good at conveying just how limitless it is for creating digital art.

I loved your post SB, however it would of been nice to see other nationalities (and not just USA),expressing how they felt about SL. I have been a member of SL since it practically first started and one of the most joyful opportunities I have experienced in SL is meeting people from all over the world.
