Spice

Spice

This month’s theme for Uber is spice, focusing on South Asian inspired content. My most favorite theme so far!

Zaara has released something for the men this round. A Nehru suit and turban. Nehru suits consists of a hip-length tailored jacket with a mandarin collar often worn by Jawaharlal Nehru, the first Prime Minister of India. I find Nehru suits extremely classy. Along with the suit she is also releasing a mesh turban which I am in love with. I plan to wear the turban with my female av as well. It makes a very unique head accessory. Both the turban and suit come in a variety of colors and if you purchase the fatpacks, you will get a nifty little HUD in there which lets you change their colors with just a click. Click here to see a picture of the fatpack HUD for the suit.  The top part lets you change the color of the jacket, the middle stacks let you change the color of the pants and the bottom cubes are the handkerchief in the pocket color and print choices. The HUD alone makes the fatpack totally worth it and fun to play with. Click here to see the fatpack HUD of the turbans so you can see all the different colors and prints available. Both of these items are at a special discount at Uber right now. Their prices will be raised once they are moved to the Zaara mainstore next month.

Maxi Gossamer has released a gorgeous new jewelry set for the ladies called Maharani at Uber this round. Maharani means ‘a queen of queens’ in Hindi and you will definitely look like royalty while wearing these.  The set consists of necklace, earrings, nosering and head jewel. All items are scripted so color change and with both gold and silver options.

I’m also wearing Hair from Truth and Skin from Glam Affair that are both available at Uber as well. I so love this braid from Truth, he’s outdone himself!

Glamistry

Do you guys remember Kalnins? They used to make some of my most favorite shoes and sunglasses back in the day. Then they kind of disappeared. Well just the other day, the Glamistry store sent out a message to previous Kalnins customers announcing how they have rebranded into Glamistry and sent out a free gift. I talked about it in this plurk.

As soon as I got that message, I teleported over right away to check out the place because I was such a fan of Kalnins. One thing I noticed right away is their wonderful HUD system. With each purchase you receive a HUD that lets you purchase additional colors (at a very reasonable and discounted price) right from the HUD. You don’t even need to go back to the store.

I picked up a pair of these gorgeous Hyacinth and thinking of picking up a few more colors. Most of their shoes come in versions that fit Maitreya, SLink and Belleza feet. Take the SLurl to the mainstore and try on some DEMOs!

The tattoos I’m wearing in both images are from Letis Tattoo. In the first image, the tattoo is not released yet but will be soon, in a few days. It is called Diwali and comes in a beautiful henna color. Letis Tattoo has appliers for many mesh bodies and mesh body parts. Keep an eye on the Letis Tattoo blog for the release date.

Glamistry is amazing. I think they have some of the most beautiful shoes available. I love them!

  • I love Glamistry’s HUD system. That’s doing it right! I wish more creators would go that way instead of fatpacks. I just wish they had more mid-level shoes. The textures are great, though.

These pics are beautiful and I love that suit! Zaara is always top notch.

I’m liking those new braids from Truth, too. I have Willa.

  • I had you and Zaara in mind when I saw all of the new releases for Uber this round. I love the vibrant colors used with this theme.

  • I got the Glamistry gift, too. I remember buying a LOT of stuff from Kalnins, way back. They made some of the best eyewear on the grid at the time, and some really great men’s shoes, too. Hopefully there will be some new male footwear forthcoming from Glamistry, because I might just pout if we’re left out in favour of “Slink High” this and “Slink Medium” that :-/

First off, I’m a huge fan both of Indian fashions and your blog Strawberry, and you never disappoint. To Kalnins portion of the post, I was a HUGE fan of that store and was sad when they closed, but then I found they were collaborating with Redgrave and released several pairs of shoes through their line which I of course loved, so I’m glad to hear about the Glamostry collaboration, I have been very impressed with several of their shoes I have bought at different events like 21 Shoe. As always, thanks for the great posts!
