Fun with Mesh Heads

I’ve realized that in the past few weeks I’ve been wearing the LeLutka mesh heads more often than my own classic avatar face. I never thought it would happen where I would start to prefer a mesh head. I think just the quality and being able to play around with all of the skins, tones and makeups being released is so much fun.

I barely have to liquify and process images as much now. The only processing I’ve done in these images really is a bit of sharpening and I also played with lighting. (UPDATE: I also blended the ears, see raw shot)

I’ve always loved taking headshots but mesh heads have taken that to a whole other level.

I feel that the heads also look great from every angle, especially the side profiles. I’m wearing both the Karin and Stella heads in these pictures. Those two are definitely my most favorite out of the bunch.

LeLutka has also released 6 hairstyles that are made just for these heads. The cornrows I’m wearing in the first image are one of them. I can’t get over how sharp and clear the hairbases look. Please note that these hairstyles are rigged so it will be difficult to wear them with a classic avatar head.

I love that Second Life gives us an opportunity to be anything we want to be. I may not have the most perfect features in the real world, but at least I can have them in the virtual world.

As much of a pain all these body parts were to get used to at first, now that I have the hang of it, it has brought a new level of fun to playing dress up.

StrawberrySingh.com Broken Ankle Fix – Ankle Lock

Off topic, but I wanted to thank two people for helping me out recently. With the help of two lovely ladies, Whirly Fizzle and Lucia Nightfire, I have updated my ankle lock. They have assisted me in updating the script in the lock. It works more efficiently now because it has a better way of running a looped animation. I’ve had several people test it out doing various things and it seems to be running smoothly. It is available in my marketplace store, so to get the update, just purchase it again and you will be sent the new version. Or you can contact me inworld and I’ll send you an update.
