Your Skin
If you already own a LeLutka mesh head or the Maitreya Lara Body, you may have noticed that there was an update to both of these items yesterday. If you didn’t receive the update, just wear them and it will be automatically sent to you. The updates are not anything visible, but just some bug fixes for the body and some behind the scenes update for the mesh heads to include more functions in the future.
Today I am wearing the Ivonne skin applier from YS&YS which stands for “Your Skin & Your Shape.” According to Monicuzza Babenco’s flickr comment, this applier will be released on April 23rd. This skin will come in 5 different tones, I am wearing the second darkest, tone #4 on the Ever head. The HUD is very well done and provides many different options for eyebrows, eyeshadows, lipsticks and hairbases. Here is a picture of the HUD:
YS&YS makes some incredibly realistic skins. She has created one of my favorite appliers for the SLink Mesh Head as well. Her textures look very crisp and sharp on the mesh heads. I also love them on my classic avatar face. Take the SLurl to the mainstore and pick up a DEMO!
The fringe jacket I’m wearing is from COCO, currently available at FaMESHed. This round of FaMESHed will be over within 10 days and then next month will be its 3 year anniversary. Any idea why they isolated the nipple from the areola on the applier for the Lara body? That tiny little area is hard to click!
My sister keeps rattling on about it and I can see the frustration. That just seemed odd. Any ideas on that one?
Hey Kilolo, I was actually pretty thankful for that because there are a lot of tops that are pretty low cut and the nipple would protrude through the top but if I tried to alpha it out, then it would be too wide and the invisible part would show outside of the shirt. I’m not sure if i’m explaining this correctly but having more, smaller alpha cuts makes it easier to fit into different styles of clothing.
Any idea what other skin makers will be providing compatible appliers? And how they chose?

I received the updates yesterday and noticed a glitch whenever my ava moved her head. Yet when I removed it and put on the old one there was no glitch. 🙁 Not sure what happened there..

Raven, that very weird, I didn’t notice it happening with my head. Must be some sort of weird glitch. I would definitely contact the LeLutka team about it. Mavi Beck should be able to help you sort that out.

Well, maybe it is time for Mireille to change it up a bit in the looks department. I’m feeling bold – for some as yet unknown reason. Guess I’d best login and see what I can do… And yes, it’s almost 1 AM here in wine country. Why I am awake, I know not – but now I’m all excited and it looks like a long but fun night ahead.

I have been reluctant to wear a head because of the inability to customise its looks but have taken the plunge with lelutka (ask anastasia Bergbahn to say lelutka, it’s hilarious) and the above skin applied. I decided to give it a week to see if I would fall in love with it. The first night I was ‘with’ a friend and closed janis’s eyes an opened her mouth…omg ‘sexiest pixel sex on the grid’ alert..I mean DAAYYYMMM!!
I’ve never tried any of their skins but seeing this, I may just pay them a visit. This is one of the few skins I’ve seen that has decent red eyebrows and hairbase. Most skins are more orange than red to me. Thanks for the review!
