Avatar in a Box Challenge

Avatar in a Box Challenge

The lovely Vanessa Blaylock has started a new challenge called Avatar in a Box! She was inspired by Hugh Kretschmer‘s 2006 art/fashion piece Special Delivery where he lovingly assembled outfits and body parts in a box, which you can see in her post.

I didn’t really want to cut up my avatar in pieces like that. I can be morbid but even that was a bit too morbid for me, lol. So I thought I’d go with something a bit cutesy like taking a nap with my kitten and a few essentials.

UPDATE: If you do decide to do this challenge, Vanessa has created a flickr group for all her challenges, feel free to share your images in the group!

I’m adding this post to my Challenges category. That’s the category I use when I do a challenge introduced by other people. I’m hoping in the new year I can add more to this category, it’s kind of fun and inspiring working on ideas other people have come up with. I’m also hoping to start up my own Monday Memes again and those you will find in my Blog Challenges category. Those will probably be in the new year as well, at least I hope!

I am wearing the Maitreya Mesh Body in this post so I actually decided not to process the image at all, since the body looked perfect and the clothes fit well over the body using the alpha hud. I am also wearing the SLink hands and feet with the body in this picture. I’ve noticed that with the slink high feet (or any high feet), in many poses (like this one) my ankles look broken like in the following image. Luckily, Siddean has an easy fix for that. She has an ankle lock for FREE right above her women’s high feet in the SLink mainstore. It’s just a simple attachment that I wear all the time now and my feet never look broken anymore. So if you haven’t had a chance to pick it up yet, I highly encourage it! In case you can’t find it at the SLink store, Sasy Scarborough has something similar, but it’s a HUD, in her marketplace store for L$95.
Fix broken ankles!

I hope you guys are able to participate in the Avatar in a box challenge as well. I bet you can think of all kinds of crazy ways to fit your avatar in a box and possibly even bring along your own goofy essentials. 😛

Have a great weekend! <3
