Happy Thanksgiving!

The countdown has begun! Two hours till turkey time and I can’t wait to stuff my face with it, but I did want to take a moment to be thankful.

Luckily I have a lot to be thankful for in real life, however I was thinking the other day how fortunate I feel to have also found Second Life. Not only is it a source of great adventure and inspiration for me, I have met and made such strong bonds and friendships with people from all over the world which I know will last a lifetime.

Through this blog I have also found a voice within myself that I didn’t really know existed. I often get feedback from you guys sharing your thoughts, advice or suggestions for me. Earlier in the year you guys were also there for me during one of my most troubling times. You really don’t know how much I truly appreciate that.

This year I have been nominated for four Avi Choice Awards: Favorite Fashion Stylist, Favorite Fashion Photographer, Favorite Fashion Blogger and Favorite Fashion Blog. It’s not that I feel being nominated for any of these kinds of awards makes a huge impact on my blog or myself in general, but what it does do is make me feel thankful and appreciative to all those that thought of me, even for just that second, when writing my name down.

I often use Second Life to create imagery that helps me process what I’m feeling or going through at the time. Whenever I do that, I notice quite a few of you reach out to ask if I’m ok. This kind of connection we have, even though we are complete strangers who only interact through this insane thing that we call the internet, is a connection that somehow has more depth and compassion than those in the real world at times.

So I’m thankful, for you and for all that you do for me. It’s a lot more than you think. And yes, I’m ok.
