Paint the town red

Paint the town red

Junbug has released a gorgeous gown for FaMESHed this round so I got all dressed up and felt like painting the town red. I asked the handsome Mr. Akami to take me dancing and not only did he take me dancing, he also serenaded me on skype as I took these pictures. I can’t deny that I am totally infatuated with his voice. Since he hasn’t blogged here for a while, I plan to drag him into as many pictures as I can just so I can get him on here more often. 😛

it had to be you

If you’re looking for places to take a special someone on a date or just to hang out with a friend inworld, I know about two events happening this month that you may want to attend.

1. Paradise Lost in Second Life – September 21, 2014 at 1:30pm SLT
I still did not get a chance to see this show, which I’m kind of sad about but weekends are insane for me in the real world and I don’t get a chance to login as often. There is only one show left which will be on Sunday, September 21st. You can pick up the tickets on marketplace. I have heard rave reviews about it, so it’s definitely a must see. Here’s the Drax Files episode about this:

2. Virtually News with AvaJean Westland! – September 13th at 2:00pm SLT
I got a press kit about this new show so I saved it on my Google Drive for you guys to view all the details. Here’s some info from the press kit:

Virtually News with AvaJean Westland” is a mock/spoof news piece machinima created by actress/writer Gameela Wright. Filmed exclusively in Second Life, in the vein of SNL’s “Weekend Update” and “The Onion News Network,” AvaJean’s irreverent take on current events and pop culture pushes the boundaries while using animation as the filter.

“Virtually News with AvaJean Westland” will premiere on YouTube, Vimeo and SLartist Saturday, September 13th 2014. For those of you in Second Life, please join AvaJean along with the talented voice actors and avatar puppeteers who brought this “News Piece” to life at the in-world premiere!

When: Saturday, September 13th 2014 at 2:00pm SLT
Where: Linden Endowment for the Arts (LEA) Theater
For more information, contact AvaJean Westland inworld.

Hope you have fun! <3

  • Oh, this is dreamy! I had to get that gown (in lavender)…and I think M. Woodford (my Aeon) will have a bit of shopping ahead when he next logs in. The two of you look stunning, so please do include more of M. Akami when you can. Again…dreamy!

  • PS: We saw Paradise Lost in SL, and it was really something! So well-done! Canary Beck and her crew are to be commended for this intricately detailed adaptation of Milton’s work. Scenery was exceptional, animations well-choreographed, and the music and narration were wonderful. If you can grab a seat, don’t miss it!
The arts in Second Life keep me here. All artistic expression is of inestimable value in my view, and there is so much here! After all, everything we see or experience has been created from the mind and work of someone so engaged. Some of the art is nothing short of stunning and the creation of buildings and environments never ceases to amaze me. Fashion counts, of course, as it’s all about the beauty of creation and expression. (Oh…I could go on, but I’ll stop here.)
    Best to you!

  • Mireille, I wish I had seen Paradise Lost, I have only heard rave reviews of it.
