Skin Fair starts this Friday, March 14th with over 120 creators on 3 sims.

I love the way both Elisa and Grazia have shown off some of the skins that will be available at the fair. It’s amazing how different a skin can make you look, even on the same shape.

I thought the pink lipstick I’m wearing in the first shot was very pretty, but I couldn’t resist doing a black and white version of the image as well. I had a feeling it would be a very striking image in black and white. Which version do you like better?

I’m wearing the Romy skin from Glam Affair which will be available at Skin Fair. Rumor has it that Aida is also trying out the new Romy skin on the SLink mesh head. This skin is already so stunning on its own, I can’t wait to see what it looks on the mesh head.

UPDATE: The rumor was true and Aida has now added the applier versions for the Romy skin for the slink mesh head at skin fair as well. Click over to her flickr for a look.

For SLurls, maps and full creator lists, keep an eye on the Skin Fair blog for updates for the 14th.

  • Ya know, when I saw the B&W on Facebook yesterday I thought, “That’s perfect!” But now that I’ve seen the colour version, I’m torn…

I think this is gonna have to be a coin-toss for which I like better.

  • You know Peep, I thought I would like the black and white more and it would be more striking, but I realized afterwards that I preferred the colors. The picture pops more with the colors and I’m still struggling with my black and white processing. You know what they say though, practice makes perfect. So I’ll keep trying.

I’m not torn, I love the gray scale version. No surprises there. 🙂 B&W is all about accentuating line and form, and it works perfectly with than image, with the elfin lines of the face and the hair streaking across. (Colour is a distraction)

If I can ever help with B&W processing questions Berry, let me know. After all, I’ve learned a lot from your images.

And while we are on the subject of questions and B&W, do you know of any creator that makes a high quality grayscale skin? I’ve found a couple, but nothing completely satisfactory for my new harlequin character I am working with (the lonely man is shut up in a closet for now)

  • I really love the colours! B&W is wonderful and draws its own distinctions, but that skin is very richly toned. I think I might just HAVE to have it…
Your photography in this image is outstanding, Berry…

  • Aw ty for the mention Berry! I love the pictures – I think the color one is my fave though. ♥
