Honeymooning and a Brand New Interview Meme

Well you guys knew this was coming. 😛

After our fake wedding post from last week, I asked Ewan if he’d like to do a honeymoon post and where he would take me, his exact words were, “on a boat ride stuck in the middle of the ocean but having all we need.” He really is a corny romantic, isn’t he? Also, Eria Ziemia suggested that perhaps Ewan could interview ME and ask me questions for our next post together. I thought that was a pretty great idea and decided to use it for this week’s Monday meme.

Meme Instructions: Get someone else to interview you and then post the question and answers on your own blog. You can ask a friend, lover, another blogger (you can interview each other) or a fake husband like I did. Don’t forget to leave a link to your interview in the comments so we can all come and read it.

Ewan Mureaux: Hi snugglemunchkin, it was suggested I interrogate since you had done a Q&A with me on the day of our nuptials, first of all how is fake married life?
Strawberry Singh: Fake married life with you is pretty fantastic I must say. You keep me quite entertained.

Ewan Mureaux: When are you expecting the spam of tummy talkers?
Strawberry Singh: Hopefully never! 😛 I did hear rumors that you were cheating on me with a pornstar, so now I’m wondering who is the one that needs the tummy talker.

Ewan Mureaux: It’s been interesting getting to know beyond the trolling and Strawberry Singh the brand. Do you feel rightly or wrongly a lot of people have a perception of who you are and if so do you feel it is a fair one?
Strawberry Singh: I actually don’t know what kind of perception people have of me, I’ve heard mixed stories. I think majority of my readers think I’m friendly and bubbly and possibly a bit ditzy. But I’ve heard others say I am pretentious, stuck up, snobby and fake. I think I’m just myself and I don’t consider myself those things. I know I can be a bit shy, quiet and anti-social, but I don’t really sit there and judge people or make evil plans to kill them or anything (aside from Mr. Jefferson that is). How do you perceive me? Am I what you expected?
Ewan Mureaux: I always thought you were just doing what made you happy. Now I have overcome how intimidating you are though, there hasn’t been much surface to scratch and you are a genuinely warm and fascinating person. I didn’t doubt it but I didn’t expect it.

Ewan Mureaux: Having a wide readership and embracing social media as you have do you ever find that people are overly familiar or stand offish because they sort of know you but don’t?
Strawberry Singh: Yeah, that does happen quite often. Sometimes people get too familiar with me and I guess that is somewhat my fault because I also share nude photos and might be playing around on social networks being friendly and flirting etc… so I think it makes them feel that anything goes with her and then they message me inworld privately and say inappropriate things. Most of the time, if I don’t know them that well, I will laugh it off and change the subject, but a few times I’ve had to be upfront about it. It happens. Then I also get people that think I’m a total snob or something and if I see them somewhere and say hi they get surprised that I’m interacting. So I dunno, it varies I guess.
Ewan Mureaux: To be fair we were married when I said that.
Strawberry Singh: LOL, well let me just go on record saying that you haven’t said anything to me that made me feel uncomfortable, and thank you for that.

Ewan Mureaux: I know when I’m particularly busy with work seeing chat come up can sometimes really distract me and I can get grumpy, how do you manage when people like me come and try and make a joke at you when you are setting up a shot?
Strawberry Singh: oh god, I have such a hard time with this honestly and I don’t mean to sound rude but my IMs are just non-stop for me and it is very very distracting, especially when I am trying to concentrate on a shot, so I tend to ignore them. I know, I’m horrible, and then that’s how I lose a lot of ims, cuz of course I crash a million times. So yeah, I really do wish people would read profiles and see that it’s probably best if they just email me, cuz then I won’t miss it. But since you and I are married, I guess I’m stuck with having to message you back. 😛

Ewan Mureaux: Would you ever consider doing office hours for your hordes of admirers and fans to come meet and question you?
Strawberry Singh: I do NOT have hordes of admirers and fans! 😛 And NO lol, that would make me feel crazy conceited and arrogant. I think I’m pretty approachable and if people have questions they can contact me in so many ways, email, social networks, ask.fm, etc… But I will admit, I am a bit shy about meeting inworld. I dunno why, I just get nervous.
Ewan Mureaux: I’m so glad you said no because that would have been divorce worthy.

Ewan Mureaux: Ok so let me lighten things up a little, if you could transfer one item from your inventory to real life what would it be and why?
Strawberry Singh: Zaara Nizam Set it’s a gorgeous jewelry set, very traditional indian style and I so badly want it in RL.
Ewan Mureaux: ok so that was interesting that you consider your friend an item in your inventory, do you think this attitude that you possess or own people is maybe why people think you are a bit of a snob?
Strawberry Singh: LOL I MEAN ZAARA NIZAM JEWELRY SET BY ZAARA KOHIME!!! Not Zaara Kohime herself!

Ewan Mureaux: OK so most people say no because of family but supposing you could bring your family with you, would you transfer from real life to second life in a sort of tron but not being killed by a frisbee way?
Strawberry Singh: LOL NO! I mean I like Second Life but I kind of like the restrictions as well that are in real life. I feel like if everyone could easily teleport or fly anywhere all the time, the world would be in serious chaos.
Ewan Mureaux: We wouldn’t be so far apart if we could <3

Ewan Mureaux: Did you know that the word “rez” comes from tron?
Strawberry Singh: I dunno what tron is.

Strawberry Singh: Somewhat, I was a baby/child for most of it.

Ewan Mureaux: Well…….let’s not start a fight on your blog.
Strawberry Singh: you said you liked my sexy American accent.
Ewan Mureaux: Also now everyone knows we’ve been up to no good on skype
Strawberry Singh: WE HAVE NOT! We had a 5 minute intellectual conversation about global warming.
Ewan Mureaux: /me tries to be diplomatic, you speak a lot more sweetly than you sing
Strawberry Singh: well thank you sir, although I’m not sure if that’s really a compliment. :-/

Ewan Mureaux: How would you like to be remembered if they turned off the internet tomorrow?
Strawberry Singh: I would hopefully liked to be remembered as that goofy girl that liked to ramble on her blog and share what she was wearing in her second life that day along with funny stories, memes and a few laughs. I don’t expect to be that memorable for most people, I’m just another blogger.

Ewan Mureaux: But you dislike being pigeonholed as a fashion blogger?
Strawberry Singh: I do. I don’t feel like I belong in that category as my blog focuses on other things more often and I also don’t consider myself incredibly stylish. I just wear what looks good to me and what I feel comfortable in.

Ewan Mureaux: Would you still do it without the readership you enjoy?
Strawberry Singh: Yeah of course. I’ve been doing it since 2007, I had zero readership at the beginning. It’s just fun. Although I admit the memes are more entertaining when more people participate in them but the regular blogging itself is very fulfilling, even without a big readership. It’s just something for me because it helps me get creative with photography and also improves my writing.

Ewan Mureaux: And do you think this is the best advice for people wishing to start that they should pleasure themselves, please themselves even and that if they enjoy what they do the readers will come as opposed to being focused on hits to start with?
Strawberry Singh: Yes, absolutely. I’ve had a few bloggers actually approach me and ask me how they can improve their hits so they can approach designers for review copies. I was honest with them. I told them the biggest rule I have for myself about my blogging is never to do it for others or for free things. In the 6 years I’ve been blogging, I have never once asked a designer for a review copy. Everything I blogged at the starting, I bought on my own. I also blog a lot about my culture and religion as well, so people know who I am and where I come from. I just see my blog as a part of me and it’s basically like a history of my SLife. If you go through my blog you’ll see all the people I’ve befriended and dated….things I’ve done over the years and what I’ve achieved. I don’t focus on hits and free things. I put a lot of passion into it, and enjoy it and I believe people can see that and appreciate it.
Ewan Mureaux: Let’s not talk about all the people you’ve dated 🙁

Ewan Mureaux: So tell me about this inventory of yours, you must have some great tips for managing it.
Strawberry Singh: I am horrible at inventory management, you don’t even want to know. I used to try and keep it clean and organized but just with the amount of stuff coming in, it’s almost impossible. So it’s basically like a never ending pit and I just use search often and do my best with that. But it’s probably the biggest headache for me.

Ewan Mureaux: Would you ever just do a clean sweep and ditch old inventory if not why do you keep it?
Strawberry Singh: No I wouldn’t. There are a lot of memories in there and I would be afraid to lose some things, even if I rarely look at them now. Just old presents from loved ones and such. I’m very cheesy and sentimental that way. But I do go and delete things from time to time. Mostly things that I know I will never wear that I bought myself.

Ewan Mureaux: Thank you for answering my questions and sharing the woman I’ve come to know and love over the past four days of fake marriage with your readers. Finally, do you think we’ll do ok?
Strawberry Singh: Hahaha, I dunno, time will tell. But so far I’m tolerating you. 😛
