Berry’s Monday Meme – Love From Mr Jefferson

This post is going to be a totally indulgent circlejerk, I give you all prior warning. Plus I’ll probably get caned by Berry for using that term on her blog. I’m really looking forward to seeing where we get linked, and how perverted the search terms will be that come up in the site stats.

Circlejerk. 

So it was my 38^th birthday on Monday, and just between you and I – I’ve had far better ones. Like… thirty seven of them. There was just one highlight to my day, and it was this blessed and beautiful post from my beloved friend “Berry’s Monday Meme.” In this week’s edition Strawberry presented the idea which I tossed at her a couple of months ago of finding out what your avatar gets up to after you’ve logged off – and now I know why you kept “forgetting” it, you sneakyassed troll. I’m not logging in for a bit so I’m unable to fulfill that part of the meme FOR NOW but her second challenge was for us to blog about one of our closest friends in Second Life. There was just one name that popped out at me on my list. Someone that has been there for me in good times and bad, has been a friend in every way and has enriched both of my lives more than I thought possible.

But I didn’t have any good pictures of Monica Outlander, so I was stuck with doing Strawberry Singh.

Berry used a picture that she took of us just over a year ago on her post, but for mine I’m showing what we did together most recently. In 2010 she took a picture of the two of us together for one of her Male Fashion Posts. I still recall it, after biting her I had the worst case of currybum for well over a week.

I was asked very recently to create a Halloween themed picture for the Second Life homepage.*  Without a moment’s hesitation I asked Berry to recreate this picture with me 2013 style, keeping to the same look of the original but now new and improved with added meshy goodness.  If you are on my plurkline then you may recall my recent nerves at having to take her picture; well this is the end result.

Why? I love her. The woman puts up with my shenanigans where no one else can, for one thing. Strawberry has fallen through the floor of her suddenly phantom skybox more times than I can count, and has never genuinely lost her shit at me for it. She has successfully managed to deal with me reviving the five year old NECRO PLURK OF DOOM on a disturbingly regular basis and hasn’t deleted it yet even after 57 odd threats to do so. (Go check it out when you have time, bookmark it like I have so you can annoy her with it too.) She finds ways to up the snark ante on our emails even more than this bitchy old vampire can and has me crying with laughter as I’m trying desperately to get ready for work. Berry also knows when something is wrong in my lives because I’ll drop off the skin of the earth for a while, and she always, always sends an email after me asking – are you okay? She stood by my side on my happiest day in SL and has been at my back for the worst ones.  Strawberry Singh really is a miracle made flesh, and I’m honoured to have her in my life.

Plus… as you can see, she lets me say circlejerk on her blog.
