Happy Friday the 13th everyone! Today I’ll be covering a few different topics. The first topic I wanted to discuss was the Designers United Event. Designers United is an event that was established in 2009 and this year marks its 5th round. For this inspiring event, designers come together creating exclusive items, for a single theme. The result is a diverse point of view from each designer on an idea, image or style. This year the theme is Surrealism and with over 35 of the grid’s most creative designers participating, you’ll be amazed by the items. The outfit I’m wearing is called Hera and will be available from Maitreya. It also comes with a skull which I’m not wearing in this post, so you can click over to the Maitreya flickr to see the outfit completely.

I also wanted to talk about Alice Project hair and their creative HUD system. The CYO, which stands for “create your own” gives you the option to create your own hair color by picking and choosing from the different packs available, giving you the ability to streak it a variety of different colors. Some people may find this a bit confusing, I know it took me a few minutes to figure it all out so I thought I would do a quick video tutorial explaining it a bit. However, Alice also has a more detailed video on her blog along with detailed instructions.

The hair I’m wearing in today’s post along with a few others will be in a special showcase called, Alice Project Highlights. The showcase starts on the 15th, but you can take the SLurl to the showcase now if you want to see a sneak peek at what’s up and coming (and also a quote from me is there on my pic!) It’s pretty cute the way they have it setup. My hair is currently available at the mainstore right now as well.

Finally, I wanted to speak about my skin. It’s called BERRY, so you know I had to have it. I am going to pretend that it was totally named after me! It’s available from Al Vulo for the Seasons Story event right now. The Seasons Story will be a quarterly event occurring every 3 months. I briefly visited the location and it is stunning.
