Boho Afternoon

Boho Afternoon

Today I decided to go with a bit of a boho look. I admit to dressing like this often in the real world as well. I have a lot of long boho style dresses as they work well with the weather in Florida. That’s why I really liked the Bohemiam Dream dress from Davi Designs. I paired it off with the Ohm earrings from even.flow, currently available at the Acid Lily Gallery. To finish the look, the Exile hair currently at FaMESHed was absolutely perfect with the little braid+bun combo on the side, very adorable style!

The location I found in the Explore Second Life flickr group. I think most of my future blog photos are going to be at different locations now because that group has made it so easy for me. Thank you so much to all of those that are contributing to it. I’ve been doing a lot of exploring cuz of you guys!

Exploring and taking pictures for this post kind of cheered me up a bit. I don’t know why but I was feeling down most of today. I tried to distract myself and even asked twitter for some advice. Then tried to do some of those things and it did help a bit. What do you guys do when you’re feeling down?

  • Very lovely, particularly the jewelry. I’m so butch iRL that I own one pair of clip-ons and they are in a bag on the hanger with the dress I wear to funerals. In SL I rarely wear anything other some large hoops that I made when someone pointed out that I never wore earrings. Now I have to go shopping, I guess.

  • OMG Berry, so now we’re calling a bustier & a skirt a “dress”? 😛 Oh well, whatever it is, you look damn cute in it!!

Hey, OT question – have you ever looked at Facebook Comments 4 WordPress? Where the FB comment “engine” replaces your normal WP / JetPack / Disqus comments, and the interaction exists both on your blog and peeps FB pages? I think I’m going to try it. After all this effort to “host your own site” it does seem like weaving a lot of proprietary platform through your content, then again, maybe I should admit that FB is where most people go when they want to talk. (er, “type”)

Hope all is well with you. It was really fun doing installations at LEA11 over summer! xo

  • Uccello, if you want to pick up some awesome mesh jewels, I definitely suggest Maxi Gossamer. Someone told me however that she is fixing up her mainstore so my slurl in the post might not be working but she should be back soon and also a lot of her stuff is on marketplace.

Van, it can be a dress! 😛 I have seen the Facebook comments on other sites as well and although it is a good idea and can get more traffic as people use their facebook accounts to comment, I believe it may get tricky for SLers because facebook likes to delete our accounts so often. I think if you were going to go with FB comments, I would still keep another set of comments such as disqus or whatever just for those that don’t have FB or don’t wish to use it on SL related sites. I’ve seen websites that have different kinds of comments like, FB & Google+ and disqus and others. It may get a bit confusing though, so up to you. Lemme know how the transition goes if you do decide to go with it. Also, everything is going great actually, just busy with work and stuff. Hope you’re well too. <3

  • What do I do to cheer up … listening to Jazon Mraz usually does the trick for me. Unless I happen to grab one of his sentimental songs which eventually makes me feel sorry for myself and I shed a few tears! After that life is good again. Haha
I recomment Mraz in any case 😉

  • When I feel down I do the most logical thing: go to bed and snore away. Or I eat something sweet and unhealthy. Or read blogs. Or go on YouTube safari. Or go shopping for useless stuff. Or watch a cheesy movie. Everyhting but cooking and cleaning and garden work really.

  • If I need cheering up (and the boyfriend’s not around; instant-cheerer that he is) I tend to chuck prims together and see what comes out. It’s absorbing enough that I can lose myself in it and sometimes I find something worth selling at the end of it.

Either that, or I shop 😉

Or I wonder why the heck all my Marketplace sales alerts have suddenly started appearing in French… *scratches head*

  • Ohh i love that skirt/top! And ty you so much for your awesome post ♥

  • Thanks for all the advice guys. I feel a lot better this week…and more productive!
