SecondLife.com – Fall Fashion

I was really surprised and happy when Linden Lab approached me a few days ago and asked me to do a fall fashion picture for the SecondLife homepage again. I thought and assumed they had stopped that program but I’m happy to see they are getting back into it. I hope in the future they ask more residents to participate as well.

I did the first image in the series, the rest are by the Lindens themselves. They asked me to do an image with a couple in fall clothing. I decided to send them a background as well because I felt the Tempura Island sim has a beautiful fall setting. So I took a picture of the background by itself and also sent in the picture of the couple that they requested on a green screen. I was so happy to see that they decided to use the Tempura Island background, it’s a beautiful sim! It’s one of the favorites that I highlighted in my Exploring Second Life Meme.

You can’t really see my pants and shoes in the first image as they are cut off, but they have also put this image in full on the SecondLife facebook page, so you can see the full image with my pants, bag and shoes etc… at this link.

I’ve worn both of these outfits on earlier blog posts but I figured I’d share the credits here again in case you guys would like to know what I’m wearing.

UPDATE: People often ask me how I get my pictures on SecondLife.com and if there is an application process for it. As far as I know, there is no application process. Linden Lab emailed me and just asked me to submit a photo. I am not sure how they found out about me. One thing you can do to get their attention is, join the Second Life Official Flickr Group and submit your pictures there. But make sure to read the rules in the description before you do. They choose “the Second Life Photo of the Day” pics from that group. Best of luck!
