Most of the time when you see depth of field in my pictures, it’s because I photoshopped it in. I admit I don’t use the depth of field option in the graphics setting as much because I feel it doesn’t look all that great, especially when you have hair clashing with the background. However for these shots I actually did use the depth of field in the viewer and I’m quite satisfied with the way it turned out. You can see a raw shot of one of these images on my feed profile at this link. I did clean it up a bit more in photoshop (like always) but I actually liked the raw shots a lot as well.

I took these shots a few days ago but wasn’t getting a chance to blog. This whole fasting thing is totally zapping my energy. Anyhow, it was a coincidence that today one of my friends messaged me and asked me if I ever tried taking shots using the “depth” setting in the snapshot window and then photoshopping it together with a similar shot with colors to get a shot with depth of field that way. Honestly, I did try to do that a few years back when I saw a tutorial on it but I don’t think I did it right since it never turned out. Anyhow, he explained to me a different way to do it today so I think I’m going to try it out and if the results are good I might do a tutorial when I get the chance and show you guys. It’s supposed to give a much cleaner finish. I’m hoping it works because there are certain aspects of the built-in DoF that bug me a bit, that’s why I don’t use it that often.

Also, have you guys heard about the Glam Affair sale? Well they are redoing the store so Aida is getting rid of some old stock and most of her older skins are all L$100. I dragged all of my ALTs there to pick up some nice skins. Glam Affair has always been a favorite and at that price you just can’t go wrong.

A few things I noticed people keep asking is, do the old skins work with her new SLink mesh hands and feet appliers? The answer to that is yes and no. She changed her skin tones about a year or so ago so the appliers she’s made are for the current tones. The skins I am wearing in this post are the ones using her current tones but they are also on sale for L$100. So some of the skins will work with her SLink appliers, you just need to look at the tones. With her older tones, I think you’d have to test it out and see if they would work. They might but I don’t think they would be exact. Of course, if you use GOS mesh feet, then you won’t have an issue since he has thousands of skins in his system and when I took a look yesterday, he had almost all of the Glam Affair skins in there.

Finally, I went on a little shopping spree at Sakide the other day. Got lots of cute stuff but my absolute favorite is the silver female symbol ring that I got in the Gacha machine there for only L$40! You guys HAVE to go and get some. The boy symbol ring was in the same box so I might send it over to ManBerry and propose! 😛
