Dead Apples

The Arcade SL starts this Saturday, June 1st at midnight SLT. You can check out The Arcade Shopping Guide for a glimpse at everything that’s available.

This is the first time I’ve tried eyes from Dead Apples. I love how unique they are and even though they are not the kind of eyes I would wear every day, I will definitely take them out for some exotic looks once in a while. They are only L$25 per play and 25 colors to win! Both mesh and texture options are included and they are of course transferable! I really recommend playing this machine at least a few times because it’s a great price to try them out.

The skin I’m wearing is also available at the Arcade, from Glam Affair. The Lulu skin is L$100 per play and 12 tones and makeups to win. I am wearing one of the rare tones, #11.

GreyTruth

Mandala has released the first part of their summer collection and let me tell you, it’s incredible! It’s a massive release with pieces for both men and women. Today I’m sharing the Nyorai set in silver. I will be blogging lots more from this collection very soon. In the meantime, you can click over to their blog for pictures of all the releases and then hop on over to marketplace or the mainstore for a closer look.

You’re probably wondering why there are two crops of the same image in this post. Well the first image I wanted to give a bit of a closeup to the eyes and jewels but the second image I wanted to use to remind you guys that the Truth Model Search contest that I blogged about a couple of weeks ago is soon coming to an end and you only have another day or so to enter. You can click over and join the Truth Model Search flickr group. One thing I did notice is that some of the images are not in compliance with the rules of the contest. The minimum picture size has to be 2048 x 2048 pixels. Make sure to read the description of the group at the bottom for all of the rules. I believe this is the first contest I have ever seen that has had that many entries. Currently I am looking at 1563 entries with 1142 members in the group. I don’t envy Mr. Hawks, it’s going to be a tough call to pick the winners as so many of you have done an amazing job. Good luck to you all! <3 Credits: *Skin: Glam Affair - Lulu 11 BR by Aida Ewing (Coming soon to Arcade June)

  • This is a lovely look, that necklace is to die for!

  • Mesh Eyeliner! Now that’s something I’ve not seen before. You don’t really touch on it, but I’m curious on your thoughts on wearing it- any photo/fitting struggles at all? It definitely stands out on your face.

    Gorgeous look.

  • Nigel, I have actually blogged the mesh eyeliner quite a lot as I’m a big fan of it. I think it was released some time last year. It’s very well done. You just attach it and it can be easily positioned, rotated, etc… and if you click edit linked parts you can move each one individually. It is a bit of a struggle to get it exactly right but after a lot of stretching and rotating and positioning I think I got it to fit me well. What I love about it is that it stands out so much better than regular texture eyeliners and it doesn’t get distorted at all. I think you should definitely give it a try. Aida has all sorts of kinds available at the store.
I’ve also blogged the studded ones, love them:

and she has glitter ones too:

They are so much fun to play with.

  • You’re very welcome, and congratulations on this piece winning in the Truth Model search, so exciting! ♥
