My Second Life Haiku Meme
Before I start this meme, I must give credit where credit is due. A few weeks ago, designer Kellie Iwish of Elate messaged me and said that she enjoys reading my memes every week and she had a suggestion for one, “ask people to sum up their SL lives in a single haiku.” At the time I told her that I am horrible at Haikus (as you can see) however I would give it a try.
The reason I suck so hard at Haikus is because I am a rambler and just way too wordy to think of just a few words and syllables to make a powerful statement. Anyhow, for the past few weeks I have been trying to come up with a Haiku about me, my avatar, my slife, my sl name, SOMETHING…and lemme just tell you, IT’S DAMN HARD! I even asked a few of my friends to help me out, which some of them really did and I’ll share one of those in a bit.
Before I go any further, I figure I should share a bit of information about Haikus for those who are not that familiar with them. A Haiku is a Japanese poem of seventeen syllables, in three lines of five, seven, and five. We are of course going to do the English imitation of this. I actually used this website to help me out a bit, you might also find it useful: WriteAHaiku.com
So the meme for this week is, write a Haiku about your Second Life. Remember to leave your link in this meme’s post so others can come by and read your answers as well!
You probably already read my Haiku in the picture above, but I’m also going to type it out here. After weeks and weeks of contemplating and trying and struggling and crying and hating myself, I settled on this one because well…IT’S THE BEST I CAN DO FOR NOW OK!
A strawberry sings?
Or does she prance in windlight?
Heard it’s photoshop.
Yeah…I dunno. Whatever!
So as I said earlier, I also asked some friends to help me out and one of them sent me this:
Strawberries are yum
Sometimes they give me the runs
Then my bum hurts, ow.
So even though I HATE HIS BRATTY GUTS, I actually laughed so hard at this one that I just had to share it, and it kind of pisses me off that it’s way more entertaining than the one I came up with. THANKS CHAD!
So yeah, these are my Haikus. I have no idea if any of you are going to do this one but I sure hope you do because I have a feeling it will be quite entertaining!

I have written haiku, but I had not considered writing one about my SL. Thank you – this is going to be FUN!
