Al Vulo

So I disappeared up north for a bit and got to play in the snow. Remind me never to do that again! I am SUCH a Florida girl, I need my warm weather. Anyhow, it was still fun and now I’m back to torture y’all again!

Since I’ve been back I’ve went to the Festival of Sin, which I’ll blog more about soon and tomorrow I’m gonna tell you about my fun Valentine’s date inworld but today I thought I’d share some quick snaps of some skins I’ve recently tried.

I have to admit, I am totally guilty of changing around my skins, tones, hair colors, etc.. often. I love being able to be whatever I want in this virtual world.

So I went to Al Vulo and Akeruka and tried on a bunch of demos coming back with these two. I love the makeup on the lighter skin and I love how the darker skin gives me such a youthful look. Usually darker skins tend to make me look older and stern but recently I’ve been wanting to look a bit more youthful inworld. Maybe cuz in the real world I’m over 30 now and really feeling my age. 😛

Anyhow, I kind of want to try more skins. I did try the new indian skin from Body Co, it’s gorgeous and I love Zoe Demar’s pic of it, however I was so sad that it didn’t really suit my shape.

Can you guys recommend some other darker or ethnic skins you think I should try? I’ve been feeling the itch to shop! Thanks! <3

  • I am a big fan of what I have been seeing from Vershe. Her release for the Whore Couture Event that is coming up is really lovely. I been wearing Bambi (current release in the store) for a week or two now ever since I found the store through the back to black event and I regularly have people stop me and ask me where my skin is from…. if you need a landmark ask me in world and I can send you one. There are a few stores even one on the Malt sim.

Great looks Strawberry, but I was just wondering what the names of some of the items are, specifically the skin and hair in the first picture? I see you’ve listed the makers name and store name, but the item name would be useful too. Thanks.

  • Hey Berry, I was hoping that you would try that al vulo one 🙂 Try Lyrical Store, and Cstar has a new dark skin. Adam and Eve also has a nice, fairly new one called Sharise. Heartsick also has some nice dark tones too, along with some unique faces. ND/MD has two nice dark skins, I love the skin that I have from them.

  • Aisling and Ohna, thank you for the recommendations, I will definitely give them a try!

Isabelli, no I don’t believe I have but I’ll definitely check them out too.

Teagan, my apologies when I took the pictures I never wrote down what I was wearing and now I have changed out of both these looks and my inventory is a chaotic mess that’s why I just wrote from memory the names of the stores and designers. However, now I have tried to add the names of the items that I looked up and was able to find. Sorry I couldn’t find all of them!

  • Let’s see: MOJO has some nice ethnic skins. Also I’m waiting patiently to see what Mynerva will come out with. Oh! And >Redbird< has some nice skins as well (the owner of Insufferable Dastard).
