Brokenhearted

brokenhearted

On Monday I will be 34 years old and I know as you grow older you are supposed to become more mature and sure of yourself, but my mind tends to focus on all the doubts and shortcomings I have. When you’re young you have all these plans…when you hit certain ages you’ll have accomplished certain things in your life. The checkmarks aren’t even close to being all checked. But even though I am feeling a bit brokenhearted and distraught around my birthday this year, I do realize that I still have time to accomplish more and go on more adventures. That’s what life is all about, right?

Since it was my birthday this week, Zaara Kohime decided to hold her annual sale this year at this time. She usually does it around her own birthday in June, but wasn’t able to make it this year. I know this nizam jewelry set I’m wearing was released in 2009, but it is still one of my favorite jewel collections on the grid. This and the rest of Zaara’s releases, including all new releases, are 50% off until September 30th. The menswear is in a building to the left of the mainstore and her older items have been discounted and placed in buildings to the right. Hope you have a chance to visit.

Have a great weekend. <3

Body Party

(click here for raw shot) I dropped by the Genre event this month because their theme is South Asia, and of course I couldn’t resist that. Majority of the items are around L$100, I picked up a few things. This Indian themed wall unit from Mirage is texture changeable and comes with 14 animated couples […] Continue reading →

Vogue

This is my third post today. I don’t know what’s wrong with me, but I am inspired so I’m taking advantage of it. People often ask me what inspires me. Recently, I have been very inspired by Vogue Magazine, and especially Vogue India. I know my pictures and styling don’t come anywhere close to the ones […] Continue reading →

Glam Affair

Late last night I messaged Aida Ewing of Glam Affair requesting a couple of makeups for whenever she releases her next skins. I wanted gold and silver eyeshadow with heavy black eyeliner and this morning she dropped them on me. I am so happy, not only did she do it so fast but they were […] Continue reading →

The Maharani’s Boudoir

Maharani is sanskrit for a very great Princess, who ranks above the queen. So she is the queen of all queens and the wife of the Maharaja. Zaara Kohime has created a vanity set which you would find in a Maharani’s Boudoir for this September’s Arcade Gacha Events. You can see the complete set as […] Continue reading →

A Second Life on Facebook

Recently Google announced that there are no more restrictions on what name you can use on Google+ therein allowing Second Life residents and others that use pseudonyms online to use the service under any name they please. I was extremely pleased to hear of this decision, but a little disheartened that Facebook doesn’t adapt a […] Continue reading →

Weddings Around the World

Libby Farleigh, the publisher of Fusion Magazine recently contacted me and requested I do two images for her special Wedding issue. They have a segment on weddings around the world so she asked me to share some colorful imagery depicting indian wedding traditions. Indian weddings are usually a big celebration of two families coming together, […] Continue reading →

Immaculate

Immaculate is the exact word I would use to describe some of the hair that is available at Hair Fair this year. I’ve already spent a small fortune there and plan to head back in a week or so and spend a bit more. Hair Fair opens tonight (Saturday the 12th) at midnight, hope you […] Continue reading →

A Journey Through India

For the summer issue of TREMPE mode magazine, I was asked to take you all on a journey through India. I tried to use mostly mesh items in this editorial, however there are still a few favorites from the pre-mesh era that I felt compelled to include. The build I’ve used in all of the […] Continue reading →

Happy Ramadan!

(raw shot) It’s that time of the year again where I get cranky and moody while I fast with my loved ones during the daylight hours. Today was the 1st day of the Islamic month of Ramadan and visions of double chocolate cupcakes have been dancing through my head. Although I do have a tough […] Continue reading →

Happy 6th Anniversary Tempura!

The Tempura Island family is celebrating 6 years in Second Life on May 25th. They first opened their doors in 2008 and I have pictures of myself at Tempura dating back to August of 2008. I spent many days and nights there just dancing, talking, kissing, and falling in love. I always found it to […] Continue reading →

It’s My 7th Rezday!

May 9th is my 7th Rezday. 7 years ago today I stumbled upon the virtual world of Second Life, created an account and logged in. I was lost and didn’t quite understand what I was doing so I logged out and didn’t think about it again until a week later. I’m glad I returned and […] Continue reading →
