Before I start with today’s meme, I wanted to talk about the picture. Today’s image has nothing to do with the meme itself, but I just wanted to show off my new materials-ready cyber gauntlets that Sion Pearl sent me. Aren’t they totally sexy? I had to go all out and make a sexy cybergirl with mesh corsets and all. If you’re using a materials-ready viewer then you’ve got to pick up a demo and try these babies out!
Now on to the meme, last week I asked you guys to get really creative so I thought this week I would keep it simple and easy. I’ve already asked a bunch of questions about your SLife, avatar, names, etc… so I figured now was a good time to bust out all the weird questions that I’m always wondering about but I’m normally too shy to ask. If you won a million linden dollars, what would be the first thing you buy inworld? Hmmmm, not sure tbh. I usually just buy whatever I really want right away (cuz I am an addict). I might get a sim and actually buy a house and furnish it. But I have a feeling I would get bored and drop the project in the middle. I am so boring. :-/
Have you ever bought something in SL and then realized afterwards that you had already owned it from before? Yeah actually that happens to me quite often. One time I went to this awesome pose store and bought a whole bunch of poses and props then totally forgot that I had done that and a month later I went back to the same pose shop and bought almost the whole store again and then went home and realized that I had doubles of it all now. This is my SLife.
Have you ever done anything in Second Life that would be considered illegal in real life? No, I am totally virginal and angelic! OK FINE! I may or may not have broken into someone’s home and took pictures sitting all over their furniture, not telling whose or where or when or anything else though! :P

What is the most embarrassing thing you’ve ever done inworld? Hmmmmm, there are so many things…where do I begin. I remember one time I was with someone that I had a major crush on, but we were just friends and he was showing me a new sim and I accidentally removed my top and then I was lagging so it took me forever to put my top back ON and this whole time he was laughing and snapping pictures. Yeah, this embarrassing stuff just comes naturally to me.

Yesterday I did a tutorial showing how you can move and position an avatar on a sim where you don’t have rez rights. The link to that is here: Moving Avatars. After I did that post, a few people on different social networks shared how you can move and position yourself on a sim where you can’t rez. I am attaching both videos in this post to make it easier and I’ll also give the instructions below that.
Before I start talking about today’s Monday Meme I just wanted to address something. Every week I have someone messaging me saying that what I’m doing every Monday on my blog is not a meme, it’s a blog challenge. I absolutely understand that these are not “typical” internet memes, especially the ones I’ve been doing lately. I admit, I did start with typical BLOG memes that consist of a series of questions that people can answer, but now it has evolved into poetry and other challenges. I don’t mind that because it’s something different and refreshing to see and read. So from now on, to make those that are annoyed with the fact that I keep calling them memes, lol, I will change it up and sometimes write meme, or challenge or nothing at all. I do however like the idea of calling these “My Monday Memes” because it has a nice ring to it and keeps me disciplined about doing them every Monday.
Anyhow, now that we have gotten the explanation out of the way, let me go on to the challenge for this week. This is something I’ve been wanting to do for a long time, but I was afraid it might be frowned upon for copyright reasons or something. However, I’ve spoken to a few people about it and since I’m just inspired by the movie poster and not actually copying anything directly from it (I’ve used my own images, logos, wording and even changed the fonts) and also since I am not “selling” anything, it should be ok. My SL movie poster is of course inspired by “There’s Something about Mary” one of my favorite movies!
Monday Meme Instructions: The challenge for this week is to create a movie poster for your SL Avatar or SLife. You can base it off an original movie poster or think of a completely new idea of your own! Get creative and have some fun with it! A big thank you to Rogan Diesel of Diesel Works for making this custom pose for me. It is really hard to get the avatar to bend like this without a lot of distortion and I also had to adjust my shape quite a bit. I had to make my legs really small and put my arms at 100 to reach my knees, lol! I definitely won’t be wearing this adjusted shape anywhere. Check out Diesel Works for more awesome poses and props! So, this what my life is like on a regular basis….I managed to get both these pics done, processed and even wrote the post and was going to do credits when I noticed that I was wearing two of the Truth Candy hairs in two different blonde colors, #3 & #5. Normally I would reshoot but I didn’t think it was THAT noticeable. Is it? SAY IT’S NOT! :P
Anyhow, Truth just released some gorgeous hair today and this one has become my new favorite. Also, remember that even though the Truth Model Contest is over, don’t stop submitting your pics to the Truth Models flickr group. In the description it says he will still select pictures from there from time to time so if you love Truth hair, keep submitting your headshots there!

I was listening to one of my favorite bollywood songs while working on this: mera ishq sufiyana which translates into “my love is selfless” and the rest of it is just as poetic, if not more. It’s an absolutely beautiful song.
Today was the last day of school, so I’m off for the summer. However, I have a cert exam later this month which I’ll be busy studying for. I’m also attempting to do “Avatar Blogger Month” which means 30 posts in 30 days, so it’s going to be a busy month! I’m on day 7 and going strong. Some days I’ll just post a picture like this with perhaps a few lines of poetry or I’ll share a song (especially around exam time) however, I don’t want my posts to be just that. I want to challenge myself with more challenges, tips, tricks and tutorials. Can you help me? What would you like to see here this month? Let me know!
