This week is going to be the week of epic jewelry releases. The first release I’d like to show you is The Primavera Collection from Kunglers. This collection is quite organic consisting of many nature elements such as flowers, petals, butterflies and other insects. As always, it has the unique Kunglers touch that AvaGardner always brings to her designs. I find them to be so bold and beautiful. You’ll find them in the Kunglers Jewelry section, so take the slurl for a closer look.

I decided to wear three different skins for this post. I know most people pick one skin and wear that for a while or always have their favorites that they go back to, however for me I am always jumping around. I do have some favorites that I like, lately that is Glam Affair, Glance, League and Tuli. However I love to mix and match brands, tones, hair colors, etc… and I’m also wearing three different Mayfly eyes here. I can’t help it, I just love them!

In the second image, I am wearing one of my favorite PXL skins. It’s Linda, an older skin, but I have a special attachment with that one. PXL is about to release a new skin very soon, there’s a teaser on Hart’s flickr at this link which looks really fantastic. I can’t wait to try it out!

So you’re walking along the beach, kicking at the sand and you notice a magic lamp hidden under a rock. You pull it out and rub it, because what else would you do with a magic lamp? Out pops a genie and is ready to grant you three wishes, any three wishes to do with your SLife.

Meme instructions: Share three things you wish for or about your Second Life. They could be things you wish from Linden Lab, things you would like to have inworld, things you would like to do, or any kind of wishes you may have. 1. I wish Second Life didn’t have such a bad reputation. I admit to feeling pretty ashamed at times about admitting that I’m on Second Life. Very few of my closest family and friends know that I have an SL avatar and only a handful know about my blog and all the activities I do here. I haven’t even told my parents about it. I hate having to feel that it’s something I should be ashamed of or I need to hide because I don’t want everyone to think I’m some kind of pervert (even though I kind of am) and only here for the sex and porn (even though that may be partially true). I recently started a relationship in real life and I can see it getting serious eventually and I admit I am dreading telling him anything about my virtual life. I’m not even sure how I’ll approach the subject. So yeah, I wish whenever there was any kind of new documentary about SL they didn’t always focus on people making sex furniture or making it seem like sex is all there is to SL. I wish Linden Lab would think of a better marketing scheme to promote this virtual world. I would love it if people saw the more creative and inventive side of SL. Kind of like what Draxtor Despres shows in The Drax Files.
2. I wish I had more talent and could create things in this world. I really want to be able to make a custom skin for myself or perhaps a cute summery mesh dress. And sometimes I get really jealous of people (*cough*Zaara*cough*) when they create these totally amazing things that are just perfection and all I wanna do is kick their ass, just joking! (not really) At least I get to wear it and look pretty though? But all joking aside, I do sometimes wish I could create my own custom skin and it would be wicked and I could totally look like Lakshmi Menon.
3. I wish the SL viewer was more stable. I guess this really depends on your computer as well, but sometimes it’s so difficult to even stay logged in. Over the years I have upgraded my computer a few times, I’ve tried several different kinds of viewers, the officials, third party, etc… but I have never been completely satisfied with one viewer. There has always been some kind of glitch or crashing or some other technical issue. Then when all of that is not happening we have rolling restarts that stalk me to every sim I go to and lag issues and so on and so forth. I don’t complain much about it though and I understand technical issues can be a pain to sort out and everyone will have a different experience with each viewer because of their system setup but how I do wish there was one magical viewer out there that would always work perfectly, would never make me crash and give me awesome shadows with no glitches at really high resolutions!

So these are my top three wishes in Second Life. I do have lots more but the genie only let us have three so no cheating! Just joking, you can share more than three if you like, I won’t even judge you for it! (maybe)

The talented Natalee Oodles of Style Minions has been holding an ongoing blogger challenge for about 6 weeks now called Disneybound. You can learn more about the challenge from her first initial post introducing it. Every week I have been watching in awe as so many have been styling themselves up resembling Disney characters. I have been aching to participate but I haven’t had the time. But this week is Merida of Brave and I absolutely could not resist.

Merida is one of my most favorite Disney characters. Unlike the other Disney Princesses that usually need a man to “save the day;” Merida is a fiery, independent and brave girl who can take care of herself! I absolutely adored this movie and the relationship between the mother and daughter was especially touching.

I’m so happy I got the opportunity to participate in Natalee’s challenge this week. I am going to try and join in whenever I can. If you’d like to join, check out her Disneybound tag to see all of the ones she’s done so far and you can also join the flickr group.

I decided to take my images at the beautiful Straylight sim. It had been a while since I had visited there. It’s definitely one of my most favorite places on the grid.

Whenever I participate in a challenge that is run by another blogger, I put that post in my challenges category. Due to lack of time, I don’t get the opportunity to do them often. Hopefully I’ll be able to make time to participate in more. I really had a lot of fun with this one! Hope you guys participate as well. I’d love to see more Meridas!

Diesel Works released two pose props this weekend Nightingale’s Glee and Nightingale’s Sorrow. Glee has 16 Burlesque, joyful poses set in a gold mesh cage. I’m using Sorrow. Sorrow has 15 Mellow poses set in an iron mesh cage. I thought it went well with my mood today. It’s really well done and the poses are adjustable using the /1a menu. Also, if you’re on facebook, Diesel Works Facebook Page will be quite active now so click on over and hit like!

Speaking of poses, Pose Fair is just around the corner and is now under new management. The Hottie Cooterati Experience will be organizing Pose Fair 2013. If you are a Poser and interested in participating, they have the application form up now, so apply soon!

FaMESHed for December also started this weekend and there are a lot of gorgeous original mesh designs you can treat yourself with for the holidays. Majority of the items I am wearing are available at faMESHed right now. You can check out Seraphim for a complete list of what’s available this month.

One newcomer you’ll notice at FaMESHed this month is LaRoo Shoes. LaRoo Shoes is a collaboration between the talented duo Cracked Mirror and CrashOV Uladstron. LaRoo Shoes will open its doors officially on December 7th on the Fresco sim, for now you can pick up their new mesh shoes at FaMESHed and The Arcade.

I love wintertime in Second Life. Probably more so because I’m in Florida and I never see snow or ice here. I know there’s still a month left till Winter Solstice, but I’m going to start working on some snowy pictures already. I’ve already started picking up all the new mesh coat releases across the grid. :P

The second picture in this post is my iRez photo of the day today. I talked about how I’ve only ice skated once in my life before. I’m thinking of making another trip up north to Canada some time this winter and I wanna definitely try ice skating again. What other winter sports should I try? I’m kind of afraid of skiing, I have a feeling I’ll definitely end up with some broken bones. lol What do y’all suggest if I end up going?

I found this sim on Koinup Places and I have a collection of winter sims that I got from my plurky friends that I will be visiting one by one. I’m hoping to cover a lot of winter sports in my upcoming posts. This sim is really festive and has a great couple’s animation for skating. So if you want to get into the christmas/winter spirit, definitely check out Irish Tropical Escapes.
